Trence's POV

I was still speechless, and awkward air filled us.

Sensei noticed our quietness. "Er, um, sorry, but are you two exes? Sorry, but we have less than 30 minutes left, so please follow me and we'll just add some makeup on your faces.." Sensei apologized and explained.

We nodded and followed Sensei.

Kaye and Natalee took care of our makeups. It was already 4:56 PM and now we're left in the backstage.

"So...good luck? To you?"

"I can sing any song, you know, so maybe good luck to you."

We stayed quiet for a while.

"So um--"

"Hey! Go go go!" We heard Sensei tell us.

I was nervous, but when I looked at Taileen, my heart beat quickened, and all my nervousness popped out like a bubble.

However, we still didn't have any idea on what to sing. I'm pretty sure that she doesn't memorize the theme song of Beauty and the Beast.

I was panicking a bit. I didn't want her to be ashamed!

Then suddenly she started the scat singing of a song I did not expect her to be familiar with, let alone sing.

♪~ *scat singing*~♪  -Taileen

I grinned and started to sing as well.

"Hey! That's pretty good!" - Me

"Wha-! No one asked you!" - Taileen

The people in charge of the background music noticed it, and SURPRISINGLY also knew what the song was, and played the BGM of it.

"What are you doing?" - Taileen

Just saying hi gets me a punch in the face
And if I should compliment her, she starts to chase!"~♪

"Hey! That was a direct attack!" - Taileen

♪~"Oh, no! The wild cat found my hiding place!"~♪

"Stupid Octopus! Take it back!" - Taileen

I laughed a little because of the coincidence of the song. How it related so much to me and Taileen.

"So, uh, how am I an octopus?" - Me
"How am I a cat!?" - Taileen
"Well-uh, cats are cute!" - Me
"Hmp! Go away!" - Taileen
