Trence's POV

I decided to wait for her at school, not following all my plans of buying stuff for her. She's moved from my class (E) to class B since the second quarter. So, ever since then I've hung out with her only at lunch.

Also, ever since me and Rin have become closer friends, me, Rin, Jack, and Taileen eat together. I noticed that Jack seemed to lose interest in Kaye, and somehow became interested in Rin. It's really amusing.

So now, here I sit, bored but listening, to Mr. Bald talking about Asian history. Waiting for him to finish and have Ms. Cory's class and sit it out and listen and then head straight to the cafetiria or if plans change and it happens to be on the garden or rooftop, or when I become unfortunate when they suddenly want to eat in their classroom. I honestly hate the rooftop sometimes because of the heat but when it gets windy, I love it.

"Class dismissed." Ms. Cory announced while we took notes.

Everyone automatically became relaxed, but I automatically zoom my way to the cafetiria, lunch box in hand.

I immediately saw Rin and Jack, talking but not smiling.

I got confused, and rushed to my seat.

"Hey, what's the matter?" I asked as I sat down, preparing my food.

Jack seemed hesitant to tell me but Rin nodded, as if saying "go on, it's alright".

"It's..." Jack started to say, still hesitating but sighed. "It's Taileen,"

My eyes grew immediately upon hearing Taileen's name. "What's the matter?"

"She can't eat with us today," Rin continued.

"Why? Is she sick?"

"No. She's alright but..", Jack hesitated again. He turned to Rin, " Is it really okay to tell him? Taileen told us to not.."

"Quit acting like a girl and tell me." I snapped.

Rin sighed. "It's because of someone," she said, looking around, as if someone would suddenly pop up and kill her. "Someone Taileen really despises."

"Who exactly?" I asked, thinking of the selection of people Taileen hates. Her dad, Natalie..well, once, the lunch lady, the person we found in the internet who kicked a dog, the person who accidentally took her umbrella, me, unfortunately...

"Rin, should we really--" Jack was about to stop her when I covered his mouth, "Who?"

"Her mom, Trence. The person who was never for her after nine freaking years, came back."

I stared at Rin in shock.

Rinna's POV

I'm excited for lunch. Me, Tailee, Jack and Trence (yeah, I will call him that from now on, without fear and nothing to fear about) will eat together again!

As soon as Mr. Baldy said "class dismissed" I almost jumped from my seat and went straight to Tailee's seat.

"Let's go--"

I was cut off when she went outside the door and met up with a woman.

My eyes grew in shock.

That girl...that girl's Tailee's mom!!

I know what her mother looks like from her photographs in the album she has under her bed.

I looked at Jack from behind me. He had a questioning look, probably wondering who the woman with Tailee was.
