Trence's POV
It was Sunday and tomorrow's the last days of July festival. I'm not even excited anymore. I'll just absent after tomorrow.
I just...well...miss Taileen. Will we ever talk again? Will we even be friends, again?
I snuggled at my bed, just thinking.
I barely eat anymore, I even forget to clean my house. (Maybe she was right, maybe I was a cleanliness freak after all)
I'm so freaking depressed that it's annoying me. I was never like this before. I was always used to being alone all the time but damn, why am I acting like this?
Ring, ring!
I looked at the telephone beside my bed. I lazily took it.
"Hello?"
"Is it me you're looking for~?! Hahahaha!! What's up, best friend? I bet you miss me, you freaking gay!"
I immediately dropped the call. Freaking Jack.
Ring, ring!
"What?"
"Fine, you don't miss me. But I heard from your fangirls that you weren't doing well. What's the matter?"
"I'm fine. Bye."
"You aren't fine, jackass. Tell me what's wrong."
"Ugh. Meet me."
"Okay. Cherry Blossom's, 2:00."
"Why Kaye's café?" I groaned.
"Ahh~! I missed those gorilla groans of yours! Just come, okay? Bye bye!"
He dropped the call. Dammit.

I went there at 2:30 because I moved slowly. I don't have to tell you what I wore, since it's completely unnecessary.
"Hey there Trence! Wearing white converse shoes with some doodles on it, black denim jeans, and plain grey T-shirt, are we?" Jack said.
How weird, he noticed the drawings.
"Whatever." I muttered. We sat near the windows and Jack called the waiter, which was Kaye.
"H--Hi Kaye.." Jack stuttered as he greeted Kaye, who wore a light pink maid outfit.
"Welcome back, Master. May I take your order?" Kaye asked, completely in character. But you can tell that she was giddy. "U-Um, the normal please.." Jack hardly said, blushing hard. I rolled my eyes.
Kaye scribbled through her notebook, probably noting down our orders. Memories suddenly went by like a wave.
"Uhh, what's the 'normal'?"
"It's the Tailee special ice cream and the XL fries with cheeseburger with extra extra cheese!!"
"That isn't normal!"
"It is for me."
"Because you're a pig."
"Oh yeah?"
"Oh yeah."
"But...I'm not. You are."
"Why?"
"You eat like a pig."
"Am I right?"
"None now, eh?"
"Perv! My finger was there!"
"Shut up! It was very disgusting! I can't believe anyone could do such things!! You licked my finger, you perv!"
"Uh, love birds, your orders?"
"We aren't lovebirds!! But we want the normal."
I acted like a total flirt back then, no wonder I fell so fast. So hard.
If I ignored her like I do to every other girls in school, I wouldn't be hurting right now, won't I? But I didn't do that. I was so interested in her personality... then eventually, her.
"Hey Trence? Aren't you going to eat?" Jack asked, worry visible in his face. "Tell me anything, I'll listen."
"O-Oh right, I just thought of something.." I said.
"Like I said earlier, tell me what's wrong. You asked me to meet you. Tell me everything bothering you, I'm all ears!"
"Fine, fine! You're being redundant!" I groaned.
"You're being stubborn and secretive!"
After endless bantering, I told him.
"I-It's Taileen!!" I said, half regretting.
"Wait, I've heard that name before--"
"The one who hit me." I reminded.
"---right! What about her?" He asked.
Then I told him everything (a/n: as in, #2-#21), and he only remained silent, nodding occasionally.
"You fell in love with her? Why?" He asked.
"I-I don't know why, do you think she's part of a witch cult? Like, she made a love perfume then sprayed it all over her body and then made me fall in love with her when she showed up at Cassidy's doorstep?" I asked, really considering the fact.
"Well, it doesn't matter, does it? You fell already. It's like suddenly thinking that the person has a grudge on you when you're already on the deep ends of the pit the person pushed you in," Jack chuckled.
"But don't you think so?" I asked.
"No, I mean, she's cute, smart, and tough. And really cute."
"You said cute twice." I pointed out.
"Like I said, it doesn't matter."
"Well, I'm telling you, you freaking creep. Don't take Taileen from me!"

I walked home, sulking. I'll die if I don't see her any sooner.
As I was walking, something suddenly hit me hardly on the head. I of course became annoyed.
"Psh, that face's better than the recent one."
My eyes instantly grew upon recognizing the voice.
I looked at where the voice came from, heart beating faster and faster.
And there she was.
"T-Taileen...!"
She smirked at me, but then her eyes soften and she smiled.
"So, how are you, you stupid octopus?"
