Trence's POV

"W...what?"

I looked at her, her confused face. "What what? I'm being understanding. Tell me why Rin is so important for you to lose your rights." I sarcastically said. She was even more confused than before. "W-Well, Rin is.."

"Is what?"

"Stop being impatient, you filth."

"Wha..? Why am I a filth?"

"Because you're Terence 'Trence' Jones."

"How'd you know my real name?!"

"Because I'm Taileen Anderson."

I smiled. She's back to the old Taileen. (though I am in real confusion because nobody but my parents know my real name).

"So, Tay, won't you explain right now?"

And bam, her expression turned to troubled and sad. "W-well..Rin is my best friend,"

I had a feeling that the real and serious explanation was coming.

Heck yeah was I right.

"Rinna is my best friend...my family. And ever since I was so young, she was there for me. Like a sister. Like a mother who was never there for me,"

Her mother? She never spoke about her mother's existence to me ever before.

"the mother who never came when I called for her name."

I was confused, but the sadness for her overtook it.

"And yeah, at times she gets pushy, clingy, stupid and annoying, but everyone has their fair share of defects, right? The explanation you want? Well, it's the fact that I love her like my whole family. Dad and Mom are trash. She's not. And for all my life...she was there. This is nothing compared, NCS."

Taileen's POV

flashback

"What a meanie!"

My classmates at my pre-school yelled. They threw whatever they first touched, and laughed while they're at it. I was defenseless, my cruel words couldn't save me this time but my bruised, scratched, and wounded arms.

My walls grew higher. My trust issues may have started at this time and year.

But there was a girl who slammed the walls broken.

"Hey you stupid whiners!"

I lowered my arms and looked at the bright red haired girl. She threw her crumpled and balled paper at them, making the kids run. She ran over at my direction, worry written all over her face.

"Hey Anderson? Are you all right?" she asked, her voice soft. I almost heard the walls falling and crashing.

"I suppose I am. I'm not crying, anyway."

"Wah! So mature!"

"What part of what I said is? You're as dumb as the kids earlier."

"I think I am, though! Teacher said that we must introduce ourselves to the stranger person we want to talk to first before talking, but here I am!"

"You could always introduce yourself now, though."

"Oh, he he! I'm Rinna Clark, but you can call me Rin!"

"I suppose I should introduce too?"

"I guess!"

"Well, if that's so, I'm Taileen Anderson."
