"Teka....hindi naman 'to papunta sa bahay nyo ah...." Maine sits up and turns towards Rj who was smirking again while driving.
"Hindi nga....dadaan muna tayo sa mall bago umuwi...."
"Hoy! Sabi mo hinihintay ng Mommy mo tong mga folders...."
"Hinihintay nga....pero gusto ko mag-mall muna....ma-traffic pa o..." Rj says as he points to the traffic ahead of them.
"Ah, so wala akong say?...kung hindi ka lang anak ng boss ko......" Maine huffs and slumps back into her seat.
Rj switches on the radio and plays the music loudly. Maine has learned to tune out the negative stuff -- bad news, chismis....and Rj. Most especially spoiled, obnoxious Rj.
They arrive at the mall and Rj parks the car. He quickly gets out and turns back to look at Maine who is still gathering her things.
"O, andito na tayo...baba na dyan...." Rj calls to Maine from outside the car, knocking on the window.
"....." Maine frowns and opens the door. She runs after Rj who had already made his way to the mall's entrance.
"Kanina ka pa dyan....di pa ba tayo aalis?" Maine says as Rj scours through rows of shirts.
"Bakit ba?"
"Eh wala naman akong planong mamili....and besides, pang-anim na tong men's store na pinasukan natin....anong gagawin ko dito?"
"...."
"O siya...uupo muna ako dun...." Maine points to the couch near the cashier's podium.
"Bahala ka...."
A long while later, Rj approaches Maine.
".....tara na!"
"Hay salamat!" she stands up and follows him out of the store.
"Di ka pa uuwi?" he asks curtly as they walk past the mall doors.
"Uhmm...sabi mo kanina, kailangan ng Mommy yung mga folders na kinuha mo sa office...."
"Ahh...oo nga pala....sige, sakay na...." Rj says as they approach his car.
"Etong mokong na to...." She grumbles and shrieks under her breath while opening her door and getting in the car.
"Ano sabi mo?"
"Wala!....guapo nga sana, ang sungit, mayabang at bingi pa....pag minamalas ka nga naman...." Maine says under her breath. She was not trying to be discreet about it though.
"......"
"Pansin ko lang ha...." Maine spoke.
"Ano?" He said as they pulled out of the parking slot.
"Funny ka maglakad...."
"Ano?!" He asked again. "Were you checking me out?" Rj says, smirking at her.
"Ewww! Why should I? Talaga naman 'no?!....GGSS ka rin e!"
"What's that?!"
"Guapong-guapo sa sarili! Over confident!....I noticed you walk funnily.....masikip ba yang brief mo?" she glared at him then chuckled.
"......" Rj's ears turned red from embarrassment and from anger, he tightened his grip of the steering wheel. Maine just smirked and looked straight ahead.
They didn't talk until they got to Rj's house.
