The rest of the day went by pretty quickly considering the fact that my last two teachers actually taught the class.
Just kidding I had to leave school early due to the fact that my sister was put back in the hospital again.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is." Anthony greeted me when I met him and my mom in the office.
"What's going on mom?" I questioned, brushing off my brother's remarks.
"It's Lily." she looked down at her trembling hands.
"Oh no? She can't be."
"I just admitted her to the hospital. Then I came to get you two."
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go." Anthony popped in.
"You're right." I opened the door of the office and the three of us exited the school.
My mom opened the driver's side door of the car as Anthony called shotgun.
The ride to the hospital consisted of me just looking out the window as rain started to fall down. Anthony turned on the radio and decided to listen to some ghetto rap music that was somehow getting popular in this generation.
"So how was school today?" My mom finally spoke up, trying to start conversation.
"Man it was awesome. I made so many new friends today." Anthony answered before I could even blink.
"Oh and who are these new friends?" my mother queried.
"There's one boy who's name is Link and he's from Canada. There's this other person named Bradley, who moved here from Australia with his sister. Oh and Link is totally in love with Maeve." Anthony explained.
"Shut up." I interrupted.
"Then there's these other boys from California and Louisiana. They're all pretty chill." He continued, ignoring my comment.
"Ooh." my mother took a sharp turn. "And how was your day Maeve?"
"Eh it was stressful. Well it is school so." I answered.
The trip at the hospital went by pretty quickly. It was the same old thing every time. I go in, say hello to my little sister, hold her small cold hand, leave a little sisterly kiss on her cheek, and then leave. Nothing new.
By the time I got home school was already dismissed and I just headed up to my room to finish my homework. It was a lot, thankfully, so I was able to finish in no time and then go through social media.
Hey Maeve
I was alarmed to see someone with a random number to just text me out of nowhere and know my name. What the frick?
Um I'm sorry... who is this? I responded.
Oh right, sorry haha. This is Vanessa.
How the hell did you get my number?!?!
Anthony. He gave it to my brother and told him to "hit you up." But Bradley doesn't know you so he just gave it to me.
Well that's makes a bit sense, I guess.
Ah okay.
Wait so can I call you?
Sure.
All of a sudden her number appeared on my screen and I pressed Accept. I was suddenly greeted by her face while she seemed to be in a restaurant?
"Where are you?" I questioned. The background looked very familiar to me.
"In McDonald's." she muttered.
