Once we reached a few blocks away from my house, I looked around for my house keys, but they had disappeared.
"Shit." I said to myself.
"What's wrong?" Link's cold stare on the road turned warm as he looked at me.
"I can't find my keys."
"Can't your parents just let you in or something?" he questioned.
"My mom isn't gonna be home all weekend." I responded.
"What about Anthony? He can let you in." he suggested.
"Anthony's sleeping over Carson's place. Besides, even if he was home, he would be asleep." I answered.
"Shit." he said more to himself.
He made a sudden U-turn and began heading down another street.
"What are you doing?"
He quietly laughed to himself. "I guess you're coming home with me."
Since it was basically only about 9 o' clock, most of the lights in his house were turned on. I examined the white house, which seemed small but large, and there was a small gated front porch with a two person swing dangling from the ceiling.
"Now I don't usually have people over my house, so I apologize if my mom interrogates you." he warned as we began walking up the front steps.
He rung the tiny doorbell and I could hear the noise echoing inside the house.
I peeked through the glass surrounding the door and caught a little boy running up towards the door, opening it.
"Where's mom?" Link asked as his brother gazed at me, with a who is she? look on his face.
"She's doing laundry."
But.
But I thought Link had 5 older brothers.
Suddenly a lady who seemed to be in around her early 40s came around a hallway holding a basket full of clothes in her arms. "Jack I told you not to open the door without my permis- a girl?" she gasped. "Come in! Come in!"
Link stepped inside and walked down the hallway leading to her, with me following behind him. We were standing in the kitchen which was connected to the dining room and then the living room to the right.
"Oh my gosh Link she's gorgeous!" she beamed.
"Mom." his voice was deep and sounded annoyed.
"Right!" she placed the basket down on the counter. "Link, why don't you introduce her to all of your brothers."
"Fine." he rolled his eyes, leading me into the living room where his brothers sat on one couch, some of which were completely shirtless.
But I could totally see the resemblance in Link and his brothers.
From left to right, he told me their names: Jesse, Luke, Jared, Levi, and Jacob.
