Chapter XXI

"You did not." Vanessa's face turned pale.

"Yes I did." I handed her the box containing the board.

"I've never done this before." she put her hand up to her forehead. "Yikes."

"Don't worry, I'll look up all the rules on the internet before we play so that we all know what and what not to do." I explained.

"Ugh I don't know." she sighed.

"Trust me, it'll be fun." I said, and Vanessa opened up the door for us to get in. Link went straight through and met up with Bradley, while I stood with Vanessa.

"So how'd your date with Link go?" she whispered.

"Fine I guess." I whispered back.

"Just fine!" her voice raised, but quickly turned back into a whisper. "What do you mean fine? Didn't you guys kiss or anything?"

"Nope."

Her jaw dropped so far I thought it would fall to the floor. "Woah."

"What?"

"He usually just has sex with the girl before even going on the first date."

"So?"

"So you're special!" her voice raised again and Bradley and Link looked over at us with confused expressions. "We're talking about bra sizes." she smiled, causing me to elbow her waist.

"We know you're not, don't worry." Bradley winked, and then continued his conversation.

We turned back to each other and carried on the conversation. "I can't believe you and Link could possibly become a thing. Now it's like I have no one."

I tried to hold back the urge to reveal to her about Owen's secret little crush. "Whatever. I hope you find someone."

We walked outside to her pool which was built in the ground. Carson was laying down on a giant raft with his sunglasses on and a chunk of sunscreen wiped onto his nose.

"Enjoying yourself, Carson?" Bradley walked through the door with Link to join us.

"Yup." he lifted his glasses onto his forehead. "Hey, where's Leo and Ansley."

"Probably making out somewhere." Vanessa answered. "I vote Maeve to go find them."

I rolled my eyes. "No."

"Link, you may go with her." Vanessa smiled, winking at me.

I walked back into their house and started searching through every room. Link remained silent the whole time, and together we walked in on the couple practically having sex in the kitchen, Ansley sitting on the counter while Leo was all up... inside her.

"Woah woah woah." Link placed his hand gently over my eyes. "Get a room."

"We did." Ansley hissed.

"The kitchen is not a very private place to have sex in." He responded.

"Oh hush you grouch." Leo said. Link's fingers had a small space in between them, and I was able to catch Leo placing his lips back onto Ansley's.
