The rest of the week was a blurr. Cap took me to Stark's tower and people were in and out. Though every time I woke up either Tony or Cap were sitting in the chair next to my bed. Watching TV, or sleeping. I wasn't sure what they wanted, I'd never had anyone never leave my side.
My eyesight blurred to clear as my eyes opened into blinding light. I pulled my hand over my eyes, shielding them. "Sorry about that." A voice says. The light is then turned off as I move my hand. "Welcome back Ivy." The man was built, had gray curly hair and rounded glasses. I nod, sitting up. There was no pain at all in my side. "Your completely healed." He states simply. My eyes wander to Cap, who was passed on on a recliner. "I had to threaten Tony to feed himself, Cap took over the chair." The man says as I look into his eyes.
"Who are you?" I ask groggily, wanting to thank him. "Oh,--my bad. I'm Bruce Banner." My eyes widen as a smile forms on my face. "Like The Hulk, Bruce Banner?" I ask as Banner smiles. I pull my hand out from under the covers, "I've always wanted to meet you," I say excitedly. "I with you, you are very extraordinary." I cock my head, "I can poison people, that's all." Banner shakes his head, "Oh no. You're much more than that." I squint my eyes, "What do you mean?" Banner clears his throat, sitting on the bed next to me. "You're capable of regeneration, your bullet wound healed by itself. You have levels of powers you can attain. Such as, you probably know but, the angrier you get the more agony and trauma to the assailant. The more calm you are the quicker the death. There are a lot to your powers you have yet to attain." I didn't know I was capable of regeneration, but I did know I healed quicker then most. "Are there tests you can run to find out what the rest of my powers are?" Banner looks over at Cap then shakes his head. " He told me you were impaled in the stomach by someone?" I nod, "Yes her name is Tigra. " I state. "Well your body is very smart. If you are hurting from a wound it will stabilize you just enough for you to live. But if you're dying it will completely heal you. Your own body won't let you die." I swallow. "I had never even noticed that. Every time I had been hurt, Hydra's told me they healed me." Banner sigh's, "They are very manipulative."
There was something in his voice that made me think Hydra's done him wrong somehow. I shake my head in agreement. Right then, Cap sat up slowly, his eyes fluttering around the room as I move to look at him. "Hey, you're awake." He says, "Whenever you feel up to up, come by my lab at the Avengers headquarters." Bruce says as I shake my head, Bruce closes the door behind him as I turn to face Cap. "Did Bruce tell you about me?" Cap nods, "It's amazing right?" I smile at his words. Suddenly his watch vibrates as he clicks on it. "Steve we need you ASAP." It was Sam's voice. "Alright, I'm coming." Cap says in an assertive voice. "How's Ivy?" Sam asks, Cap looks up at me, "She's strong." As he gets up and walks to the door, I get up also. "How are things with James?" I ask keeping my voice low, "We aren't sure what our next step is, but it will have to be soon." Cap says as he walks to the door. "Hey," I call out. Cap turns quickly, "Thank you,-- for everything."I stammer. He smiles warmly. "Don't thank me, you pulled all the heavy weight, I just stood by your side." I grin as he leaves.
I wandered the halls only because I was curious, and not to find secrets. But that used to be my job. I'd sleaze my way into someone's house and steal whatever we came for. One time I remember it very clearly. It was the time I fell for someone I was supposed to steal from. I had never felt that for someone so fast, it almost made me sick. It was suppose to be a simply extraction, get data from his servers and leave, but it didn't go as planned. We didn't part on good terms, but then again I wasn't sure. I was fine with his hatred towards me, only because that meant that he would be alive.
