Vienna

Nat and I walk in, muffled voices stopped as eyes stared at us. As soon as I looked over at the silenced people, they went back to their conversations. I had that feeling I had years ago, I felt a threat all over again. Or at least that was how I was being perceived. The room was large and held about two hundred people. It was round and had seats on elevation like a movie theatre, a large window and a podium in the middle on the floor. As I follow Nat, she walks right up to Prince T'Challa. He was a head taller than me, and was very built. His face was smooth and had little scruff.

"Prince," Nat says as T'Challa looks down at us. "Natasha, please call me T'Challa." His accent thick and voice deep. He grabs Nat's hand and kisses her knuckles. He turns to me, and smiles warmly, "I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, but I am aware of who you are Miss Quinn." He grabs my hand kissing the knuckles. "Oh, please, call me Ivy." I blush as T'Challa chuckles. "Considering your last trip to capitol hill, I wouldn't think you'd be comfortable in this company." T'Challa says to Nat, "Well, I'm not," Nat says with a sly smirk, "Well that alone makes me glad you two are here, Miss Romanoff." He says looking between us. "Why, you don't approve of all this?" I ask, "The accords, yes. The politics, not really. Two people in a room can get more done than a hundred."

"Not unless you need to move a piano." King T'Chaka says from behind me, walking next to T'Challa. "Papa," T'Challa says as King T'Chaka nods, "Romanoff, Quinn." He says as I smile. "King T'Chaka, let me apologize for what happened in Nigeria." Nat says, "Thank you. Thank you for agreeing to all of this. I'm sad to hear that Captain Rogers won't be joining us today." King T'Chaka says as Nat nods, "Yeah, so am I." Nat says solemnly. "Now, please would everyone be seated. Assembly's now in session." A man over an intercom says. "It is the future calling. Such a pleasure." T'Challa says to Nat and I as we walk to our seats.

The assembly starts as King T'Chaka takes the podium, "When stolen Wakandan Vibranium was used as a weapon, we in Wakanda were forced to question our legacy. Those men and women killed in Nigeria were apart of a group in the country, to long in the shadows. We will not however let our misfortunes drive us back. We will fight to improve the world we wish to join. I am grateful to the Avenger's for supporting this initiative," My eyes flutter to T'Challa who seemed distracted by something happening outside. "Wakanda is proud to extend its hand in peace-."

"Everybody get down!" T'Challa yells suddenly. Nat grabs me, pulling me under the desk as a loud explosions goes off, she covers my head. Dust fills my lungs as I cough violently. I grab onto the top of the desk, helping Nat up. "What the hell?" I ask as I spot T'Challa crawling to his father, who was motionless on the floor. He checked for a pulse, then pleaded for his father to wake up. T'Challa held him in his arms, rocking back and forth as Nat and I helped people out of the rubble filled room. The room was blown to bits. Sirens blared as we filtered people out.

About an hour passes as Nat and I take a seat on a bench as medics come to check us out. "I'm fine." I say pushing their hands away. T'Challa was set across the way, blood on his cheek bone and collar, most likely his own father's. My phone buzzes as I pat Nat on the shoulder, "Be right back." I say walking away from her as she engages in a conversation with T'Challa.

"Steve?" I ask, "Are you alright?" He asks, I push my hair behind my ears as I clear my throat. "As always," I say, "Do you see the coffee shop to your left?" He asks as I furrow my brow, I turn to the left seeing Steve outside of it, waving to me. He had on sunglasses and a ballcap. "Come over here, and don't let Nat see you." I take a deep breath, hanging up the phone. Nat was still in a conversation with T'Challa, I slip through the crowd, meeting Steve.

"What's up, why are you hiding?" Before Steve can say anything, Sam walks out the door. "Guys, you gotta see this."

"A bomb hidden in a news van blows up the UN building in Vienna, seventy people have been injured, and at least twelve dead, including Wakandan King, T'Chaka. Officials have released a video of the suspect, who has been identified as James Buchanan Barnes, the Winter Soldier." My heart races as I see his face blurry on the TV. I look to Steve who almost couldn't believe his own eyes. Sharon pulls Steve off to the side, handing him a file. I listen closely, "And you need to hurry up Steve, we have orders to shoot on site."
