"Ivy Quinn," A familiar voice says as I whip around. I hadn't seen that short red hair for years. To be exact one of my first missions. "Natasha." I say as Nat stood in the hall, hand on her hip. She kicked my ass in my first mission and a part of me boiled at the sight of her grayish eyes looking into mine. If she's an Avenger then I am not sure if I wanted to be one.

"You've grown." She says pointing out the obvious. Right then Banner walked out of his lab and looked between us. "Oh, sorry." He says awkwardly, going back into his office. I turn, not wanting to look at her for one more moment. "Ivy, come one. Let's talk." She says as I spin around. I felt dizzy with anger, "Is there a training room?" I ask, fuming. She nods. "Show me."

We arrive and I was sure she knew what I wanted. I wanted another go at our first fight. I was twelve when she beat me to a pulp, and I wanted to do the same to her. "Let's do this." She says. Cap and Sam were across the room, talking amongst each other, but they turned as we went at each other.

It felt like we fought in slow motion. Her fists flew fast towards my face as I ducked, flipping sideways, kicking her in the jaw. I admired her strength, she sprung back up and got me a few times in the stomach as I backed up, her legs fly towards my face as I deflect each blow with the palm of my hand. Finally I catch her leg, pulling her to me, I grab her lower back and powerslam her on the matt. As she springs back up once more, I twist throwing up my leg as it connects with her cheek bone. She drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. I catch my breath as a stifled laugh escaped my lips as Nat lays her head back on the mat, a smile forming as blood drips from her lip. The boy's stare as shocked.

"Thank you." I say holding a hand out for Nat, she grabs it and I pull her up. She catches her breath then pats my back. "You are, incredible." She utters. I take a quick deep breath, "You're okay." I shrug as Nat laughs. "Ivy, I'm glad you're here."

I turn as I'm thrown across the room as agony runs up and down my body. The room erupts in yelling and gunfire as I push myself up. Viper stood above me, kicking my abdomen. As the rooms fire died down, Viper grabbed my hair, thrusting me upwards, then shoving me into the concrete wall. I looked around seeing Cap, Sam, and Nat all sprawled out on the floor, tasers in the hands of Hydra agents. Her hand wrapped around my neck as she drug me up against the wall till my feet didn't touch the floor.

"Listen to me well and good. I am here for one reason and one reason only. You were valued and loved at Hydra, Tigra loved you like a sister. Then you just stab her in the back." I squirmed at her touch, trying to catch my breath. "I wanted you to know this before I kill you. We didn't kill your mother, in fact we have been trying to track her down. That's the secrets you stole from Bruce Wayne, that was information to help find your mom. She's alive and you'll never get to see her." Suddenly it felt as the whole world shifted. A roar escapes the mouth of a gigantic green creature crashing through the doorway. Viper turns to me, and without hesitation, drives a knife right into my heart, letting me drop to the floor.

My breath hitches as the creature smacks at the soldiers, sending them flying across the room, and falling to the floor limply. Viper disappeared in the destruction, leaving her soldiers to die. I place both hands on the end of the knife, taking a deep and hitched breath, I pull it out. Blood pours from the wound as tear off my jacket covering up the stab wound. Suddenly the Hulk comes close to me as my heart springs out of my chest, I grab at the wall staggering to get up. The Hulk's hand gently helps me up. His size starts to diminish until green turns to pale skin and anger turns to peace.

"Are you alright?" Banner asks as I stare in amazement. I look down at the wound as the skin pulls together. "You were right." I breath as the pain instantly diminishes. "I just healed myself." I say letting the jacket fall to the ground. My shirt was blood stained but the wound was completely healed. "Was that Hydra?" Banner asked as we rushed over to Cap, Sam and Nat. I shake Nat as Banner shakes Sam and Cap. "What happened?" Nat muttered, her eyes still closed. "Hydra." I say simply. They all finally got up as we sat in the crushed training room. "What did Viper say to you?" Cap asked to me, I looked at the ground. I wasn't going to tell them. I did trust them, but this was personal.

My mother was alive? Why hasn't she found me? What's the hold up? I had so many questions in my brain. "All she said was she wanted me dead." I said as Cap stares. I believe he knew I was lying, but he didn't say anything, thankfully. "So she stabbed you and left? She could've done that anytime, why today?" Nat asked. "She probably waited till she was awake." Cap said. I nod in agreement. Why would Viper tell me my mother was alive? She had to know I can heal myself, or does she not? "Well, what are we going to do? If she finds out Ivy lived, she's gonna wanna try again and again." Banner spoke as If this was the most serious thing to ever happen in his life, he spoke like a concerned father. "We need to stop her." Cap said. I couldn't get out of my head. My mother was alive all this time and I haven't been able to look for her. I stood up, "I need to sleep, I'll talk later." I said, practically running out of the room.

How was she alive, why hasn't she reached out to me? I got to my room, stripping completely and zipping on my super suit, I placed the guns in the right places, pulling my hair into a thick ponytail, I threw a coat over my shoulders. I was going to find Bruce Wayne, although I wasn't sure how he'd react to me, it gave me a huge excuse to show up on his doorway. There was a knock at the door. I opened the window, slipping out, rushing down the pipe. As my feet touched the concrete I ran, without stopping. I didn't know where Gotham was but, a taxi driver did. In the distance I heard my name being called, but I stayed in the shadows. I wasn't going back, and I wasn't apologizing for leaving, I had one thing on my mind and it is something that I haven't stopped thinking about for 12 years. Someone I believed I killed with my own hands. I whistled as a cab stopped. Looking back I saw Sam and Nat rushing out off the front door, looking around for me. I slipped into the backseat.

"Gotham, and step on it." He did just as told, stepping on the gas. I glance back seeing Nat and Sam run for a moment then stop. I turn back around, swallowing hard. I am not sure how many times I could leave them without them just giving up on me, but I didn't know anyone there very well, and they didn't know me. They should've guessed I would leave as soon as possible, but I would never tell them why. I knew I was hard headed, but I couldn't help wanting to do it all on my own. My phone buzzed as I rolled down the window. Answering it, I listened.

"Ivy, where are you going?" It was Phil's voice but I knew the rest were around listening. "I'm sorry, but I have a lead that I need to take care of, alone." Phil sighs, "You don't have to do everything alone, we have people here to help." I wanted to erupt, "I don't need help, look, all my life I have been trained to take care of stuff on my own. I am not good with teams, I'm sorry." With that I tossed the phone out the window. I had made up my mind, and I didn't want to be an avenger. If I found my mom I'm sure I wouldn't need to go back. "How long till we get there?" I ask getting relaxed. "About four to five hours, now you know that'll be expensive right?" He asked. I nodded grabbing out the credit card from my pocket. "Got it covered." I laid back.

There was a sudden jolt sounding like some fell on top of the car. I rolled down the window, seeing Tony completely suited up and rising up on the top of the car. The driver freaked, swerved slightly almost crashing. "Move." I say climbing into the driver's seat. "Buckle up." I hadn't been chased in a while, but I always loved to lose people.

"Ivy, pull over the car, we need to talk, please" Iron Man demanded. I buckled the seat belt, slamming on the brakes the car screeched to a halt as Iron Man flew off the top, tumbling to the ground. I hit reverse, turning around, and flipping the car around, pulling into an alleyway. "Where'd you learn to drive like this?" The taxi driver asked. "At cheer camp."

Suddenly Banner walked in front of the car as I hit the brakes, the driver beside me hit his head on dashboard. "Sorry," I breathe out. Banner quickly jumps in the backseat. "Let's go, I'll explain later." He said as I hit the gas. "Turn right," Banner yelled as I did, "Left," I cut the wheel as it lead us back to a regular Street. "Drive normally, fit in" I did just as told, stopping at a red light. "We need to get out of the city." Banner said as the light turned green. "OK, explain first." Banner seems to get a little shy. "Well, I can't let you face this alone, and I'd like more time to study your power." He says as we get to another stop light.

"Also, I might be able to help you find out who your father is." I almost hit the breaks, but gasped instead. "Elaborate." I say, looking in the rearview mirror. "Well, I can scan your DNA and find out who were involved with making you." It was about an hour of me driving before we got to the edge of town. "Can you take over?" I ask the taxi driver. "Yes, Ma'am." I nod, switching to the seat right next to Banner. "How long will the DNA sample take?" I asked suddenly. Banner smiled a little, "It depends usually on the patient." I nod, clearing my throat.
