The day simply drags on, and the once warm atmosphere soon begins to cool. Naruto, Sasuke and I all stay out until night. I continue to help Sasuke and occasionally Naruto as well. While observing them, I train myself in order to strengthen my sutomi chakra.

Tired and worn out, I lay on the grass and watch Naruto and Sasuke race each other to the top of their trees. Looking up, I see small twinkling dots hanging above the night sky. The soothing breeze silently whips past my face along with the surrounding grass.

At peace with the serene environment, the hours fly by, and I somehow fall asleep. Everything is completely still and silent, but I soon feel my body being lifted. I also feel warm for some reason. What is this?

Sasuke's P.O.V

Focusing my chakra once again, I run up the tree that's now covered in scratches from my kunai. Finally making it to the very top, I look down to see if Naruto is still on the ground. Surprisingly he isn't. Turning to the right, I see he reached the top of his tree as well.

'Damn, it's a tie.'

This training took longer than I thought it would. Controlling chakra is a lot harder than it looks, and yet both (Name) and Sakura we're able to get it right off the bat.

"Hey! Let's go back down." Naruto says looking at me.

Smirking back at him, I give a small nod in agreement. Climbing down, we both find (Name) lying on the ground. Moving closer, I see that she's actually asleep. What is with her?!

'I swear, this girl could literally sleep anywhere.'

"I'll carry her back; I was going there anyway." I tell Naruto, while lifting her.

"Ok but be careful with her. I'm going to stay a bit longer." He replies.

With a simple nod, I begin to walk away still holding (Name) in my arms. On our way back, she starts shifting in my grasp. Placing her head closer to my chest, she snuggles into a more comfortable position. Readjusting my hold on (Name), I keep moving.

'It's a good thing she's not too heavy.' I thought to myself.

Walking up to the house, I slowly try to open the door. Since my hands are full, I make an attempt to be careful. Seeing as I didn't want to drop (Name). Finally inside I look up to see everyone staring at me. Or to be more specific, they're staring at (Name). It seems they were in the middle of having dinner.

"What happened!?" Sakura questions with worry lacing her voice.

"Nothing, she just fell asleep." I quietly explain.

"Oh" Everyone says sighing a breath of relief.

"You can lay her in here. I prepared a room for you all, so please follow me." A woman by the name of Tsunami says.

Following Tsunami, she leads me down a hall and stops at a door. She slides the door open and holds it while I walk through. Tsunami closes the door and leaves. In the middle of the room I see four futons that are already made.

Setting (Name) down, I take her shoes off and place them near the door. Lifting her once again, I lay (Name) in the middle futon to the left. I'm surprised she hasn't woken up after moving her around so much.

Deciding to skip dinner, I get ready for bed. Lying down on the futon to the outer left next to (Name), I turn to look at her. Her sleeping face catches my attention, but why?

I don't understand what it is about her...she's different. Her deep (e/c) eyes and soft (hair/color) hair seems so mesmerizing. Turning away, I realize what I was just thinking about.

'What is wrong with me!'

I can't believe I might actually be falling for (Name). I wish I could deny this feeling, but there's no point in hiding the truth. I like her and that's all there is to it, but me liking her won't change anything. Especially since (Name) doesn't even have feelings for me. In fact, I think she actually resents me.

Even back at the academy, she'd always ignore me and if not then she'd only give me a lowly glance. Though, I can't put all the blame on (Name). I used to do the exact same thing to her, but worse. Even so, I can't let her make me lose sight of my true goal...

'Itachi, I haven't forgotten.'

Hatred is all I have now, and it's the only thing I'll need. And as for (Name), it doesn't even matter. It's not important. Taking one final glance at her sleeping face, I close my eyes attempting to fall asleep.

'I have no need for love...'
