She had a dark side,
Like the moon at night.
A bright smile,
Like the sun shines.
But her heart was as cold,
And harsh as winter.
While the green of her eyes,
Played tricks on others.
Kindness shined through,
Her cold-hearted soul.
And soon she became broken,
Numb to the pain.
Nightmares filled her brain,
And just like the moon,
She never slept at night,
But shined through the darkness.
Every night she lies awake,
Blaming insomnia.
But her troubled thoughts,
Are the ones to blame.
Or maybe the voices,
Screaming through her ears.
A bright smile plays tricks,
While they turn into tears.
