"PEARL I miss you, come back." Violet sniffles, I can hear muffled sobs on the other end of the phone when he stops talking.

After a long pause I answer, "Violet..."

"Yes Pearl?"

"I'm coming over."

His tone of voice changes, "Okay." I can see his face brighten even though we're only on the phone.

On my way over, I can barely contain my excitement. After weeks and weeks of waiting I get to see him. I've missed him more than ever, I've been waiting for this moment for what it seems to be an eternity.

I zone out, thinking of him. His smile, his laugh. The way he lights up when you call his name. Then I remember, I'm driving. I drifted into the wrong lane, ahead I see a large truck traveling in my direction. As I'm about to swerve into the right lane, I end up being a second too late.

I wake up.

I wake up in a cold sweat, panicking. I try catching my breath as I pant. I look at my arms and around my room just to check if the dream was fake. It was thank god.

Shuffling into the bathroom, I rub my head trying to ease my pounding headache. I twist the knob on the right reading "cold" on the sink. I let it run before splashing water in my face to wake me up. I look up from the running water to see my own reflection staring back at me.

When I reach my bedroom I try laying back down, but it hurts to move. "Ow, ow, ow" I moan as I climb into my bed. I stare at the ceiling for a while, I can't fall back asleep.

It's around five am and a little dark, little to no light seeps through my blinds. Different hues of blues from outside fill my room, making it very dim. Enough for me to see.

After minutes of contemplating, I pick up my phone on the nightstand beside me. The bright screen flashes in my face as I turn it on, blinding me.

I squint at the screen trying to see, "Fuck."

I stare at Violet's contact before pressing the call button. My heart is racing a million miles.

It rings for 30 seconds until it goes to voicemail. After the beep I leave a voicemail.

Hey Violet, it's me...Pearl. Call me when you get this, I miss you.

I go back to bed after leaving that voicemail. A big weight has been lifted off my shoulders, letting me sleep.

Around six am, I hear a ringing in my dream. I wake up to hear it's my phone. Just as I'm about to pick up the phone it hangs up.

I look at my phone reading, Missed call from Violet.

I have a little bit longer to sleep, but I'm already up. Might as well get ready for school.

At the lockers this morning, Adore and I talk.

Adore squints at my confused, "...So you're not mad at Violet?"

"Why would I be? I had to leave sooner or later. I guess I was just being... childish, you know?"

"Well," Adore slams his locker door shut, "Then why aren't you guys talking?"

I bite my lip and grip the books in my hands even tighter, "To be honest.... I don't know."

Mid conversation, Trixie comes up to Adore and I skipping, clutching onto a stack of papers. He hands us both a flyer.

"So you're coming to see Young Frankenstein tomorrow, rightttttt?" He gives us both puppy dog eyes.

I look down at the flyer, seeing the words Young Frankenstein Friday night 7:00 to 9:30.

"Yeah defiantly." I nod my head, stuffing the flyer in my pocket.

Adore reassures, "I'll come to your little play Trix." He rustles Trixie's hair.

I scratch the back of my head before asking, "Is Violet gonna... be there?"

"Pearl, he's the lead! Don't you remember?" Trixie says.

   "....Oh yeah, rightttt."

Trixie starts to walk down the hall, "See you there!"

Trixie resumes to handing out flyers greeting everyone by saying, "Come to our show!"

He walks up to a rather large kid. Big and scary, "Come to our show please!"

The boy takes the paper, crumples it up and throws it back in Trixie's face. He hisses at him for the dramatic affect.

Trixie ignores the boy's rudeness, "See you there!"

Adore and I look at each other and back at Trixie who's already halfway down the hall. "Are you seriously gonna go?" Adore interrogates, furrowing his eyebrows at me.

"Yep."
