"Well, you don't have to worry about me. I won't be going anywhere."

That was one of the truest things I'd ever said in my entire life. There was no one else I'd rather spend every waking second with. That's why I had kissed her that night, and that's why I had asked her to marry me. Emily was everything to me.

I had known since the beginning that there was something different about her. She was a mess of gorgeous chaos and I could see it in her eyes.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Do I really have to remind you why I love you?"

"That might help." Emily smiled, taking my hands in hers.

Where do I begin?

"I didn't plan it, but you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. From our first kiss to our last breath, you'll be mine and I'll be yours."

There were tears running down her face at this point, so when I put my hand on her face to wipe them away, she put hers on mine and held it there.

"Yeah, that helped." she said, her voice somewhat scratchy.

I pressed my lips to hers, and as usual, she let go of everything. Both of us were usually tense due to the constant stress of our jobs, but when we kissed, all of that tension seemed to melt away. She relaxed into me as I pulled her closer, silently praying that no one would walk in and ruin it. I could tell by the way she kissed me back that she was still troubled by earlier events.

"Besides, I couldn't leave, even if I wanted to," I whispered, having pulled back a few inches.

"Why not?"

"Because your sister would kill me."

Emily laughed. "I have so many things to say to you, but I have no idea how to say them."

"Try this," I said, grabbing her and kissing her again.

Emily didn't relax into this one. It became quite clear when she pulled away that she was beside herself.

"But I'm scared too. I'm scared the if I let myself be happy for just one moment, the world's just gonna come crashing down. And I don't know if I can survive that." she said, her voice cracking.

"Hey, listen. I can't promise that things will be perfect, but I'll never leave. Don't ever think you'll have to face anything alone, even for a second." I assured her.

Emily bit her lip and looked away.

"I'm sorry, it's just, I meant what I told Lucy that day. You're the first stable thing I've ever had in my life. I don't want to lose that."

"And you won't. I need you just as much as you need me. You're the only thing keeping me sane at this point. Without you, I'd be tearing my hair out."

"Well, we can't let that happen. I like your hair," she said, causing us both to laugh.

"Hey, I love you, alright? If you can't be sure of anything else in life, I want you to know that I love you."

"I love you too."

A/N: Hello everyone! This chapter has been the hardest one for me to write so far. Because it's written in First Person for Aaron, I had to go back and pick apart his character piece by piece. However, I hope you enjoyed it because that is why I write. I write to make you guys happy, so please, leave me a comment telling me what you think of it, and know that your support means the world to me. I couldn't have done this without you!
