Lucy laid on the couch with her legs in Leo's lap. Today had been one of those lazy Saturdays. They were watching some TV show, neither of them had any idea what it was, but there was nothing good on. Out of nowhere, a gorgeous biracial girl with striking hazel eyes and dark curly hair appeared onscreen.
"Holy shit, she's hot." she blurted, sitting up, her eyes wide.
"Hold on, what?" Leo asked, looking at her in confusion.
"What? I just said that she's hot?"
"Lucy, are you bi?"
She suddenly remembered that she had never told Leo about it. Although, she hadn't tried to hide it in any way.
"I mean, I thought I had made it pretty obvious."
"I thought you were just testing me or something when you said that."
Lucy laughed.
"No, of course not. First off, I don't care if you think other girls are hot. Being in a relationship doesn't automatically stop you from being attracted to other people. Besides, I trust you. Secondly, my bisexuality is just a part of me. I hope that doesn't change anything." she said, somewhat nervously.
Most of her friends had been really accepting of her when she came out, especially Eliza, who tried to set her up with almost every gay girl she knew, but some weren't so supportive. It hurt quite a bit to admit that she had lost more than enough friends over it, but she tried not to think about it all the time.
"Listen, Lucy, I don't care about your sexuality. I love you, and you liking girls too doesn't change that. That doesn't matter to me, and I'll always support you."
She had only heard the first half of that sentence. She stopped processing any new information after he had said the three most amazing yet terrifying words in the English language.
"What did you just say?" she asked in a quiet voice.
"That I'll support you no matter what?"
"No, before that."
"That I don't care about your sexuality? I'm sorry, I'm really confused."
Lucy paused for a moment, swallowing hard due to the painful lump in her throat.
"Y-you said you loved me." she managed to choke out.
"I actually said that out loud?" he said nervously, now beginning to choke on his words as well. Welcome to the club, Lucy thought as he tried to form a full sentence. "I'm sorry, I was going to wait to tell you because I didn't want to overwhelm-"
Leo wanted to offer up an apology, but she had other ideas. She stopped him from acting like a bumbling idiot anymore by pressing her lips to his.
The lump in her throat seemed to disappear more and more with every passing millisecond as he kissed her back. And the fireworks in her chest increased as she laid back on the couch, pulling him down with her so that he was now laying on top of her.
Leo's hands slowly made their way up her back until they reached the zipper of her dress and began lightly pulling on it, sending her into panic mode. The farthest she had ever gone with anyone was with her then-girlfriend Anya when they were 14. They had both gotten really drunk and high in a motel room and started making out until one thing leads to another. Luckily, they hadn't actually hooked up, but it still wasn't the most glamorous situation. Her state of slight panic caused her thoughts to cloud, and Leo kissing her certainly didn't help. Lucy's panic brain told her to push him off, but her logic brain convinced her otherwise. Instead of shoving him off, she pulled his hands away and shook her head 'no', not wanting to ruin the moment. Thankfully, he seemed to get the message and instead focused on kissing up and down her neck. She knew that Emily would never let her hear the end of it if she ended up with a hickey, but it would be so totally worth it.
