Alex POV

We've been in this wasteland for over a week. I now understand what Saphir meant when she said no enemy would stop. I understand why she put me through all the days and exercises in pain. It was all real.... In the days that we've been here, I've had so many trips to the infirmary tent they began to remember my name. Noir has come back each battle unscathed... not even a slice.... he's untouchable, but he at least tries to help me.

"Back in here I see Alex!", Noir came stomping into the tent, his loud voice echoing against the tarp.

"Yes apparently my earth can't crush a hollow. What brings you here Noir?" shrugging he sat on the futon that was next to my bed,

"Just checking, apparently our captain Demeter is giving us a promotion." when he said that, Demeter walked in... dirtier than ever, covered in black blood from a hollow and dust from outside.

"Well damn Noir you couldn't even wait for me to tell her huh?"

"It was unnecessary, Alex isn't stupid, and trying to scare her would have been a waste of time." with that he leaned back and closed his eyes, resting as it seemed. Shaking his head Demeter cleared his throat and spoke to me,

"So my plan was to tell you that you were being exiled but he ruined my little prank. In truth General Rose was asking for you two, her all seeing eye, lady Atropos, was keeping tabs on you two. She seemed impressed so she called on your help for the front attack squadron."

Demeter seemed very serious about this, and even if i didn't know who this General Rose was, I was excited to begin a new adventure. I just wished Saph was here to be with us, it doesn't feel right to fight without her. The two, Demeter and Noir, waited patiently for the doctors to be done with me, and after we left on Grifter. The sight of the main camp was amazing, it looked like an established city, it would since this war has been going on for about a month or so.

Grifter circled around a tent and landed beside it, this tent was huge and red in color. Demeter started walking and before we even followed stopped in front of the door,

"Uh.... yeah so this is how everything is gonna go. General Rose doesn't REALLY know you're HERE so... um... stay here and I'll call you in, cool? Okay sweet!" And he left, leaving us out here with blank surprised faces.

"This guy is seriously getting on my nerves."

"You're telling me Noir, I'm seconds close to whipping him." We were both VERY annoyed with him, and then we heard all the commotion coming from inside.

"COME ON YOU KNOW WE NEED THEM!..... That's not my problem Saph..... THEN YOU KICK EM OUT!"

Wait WHAT?!?!? SHES HERE? In seconds Noir stomped to the door and I followed, when we walked in there stood Demeter in front of a giant wooden table. Saph was standing on the other side, she was wearing armor and her hair was loose, her wings were in full view. Little metal pieces covered important parts of her wings, she looked like a warrior from hell.

"S...Saph?" She looked at the both of us, looked straight at me for a few... and then glanced at Noir, swallowed and looked away. "Why didn't you tell us you were here?"

'It wasn't my place to, these lands are neighbor to my father's lands... it's my duty to be here.'

"You could have still told us Saphir." Noir sounded pissed, he had his arms crossed, his face set in a glare.

'I have NO interest In explaining myself to YOU Noir, you are NOT my father.' Then she turned to Demeter, 'you will take them BACK this instant am I understood?'
