CHAPTER 23: WHAT COMES WITH SPRING

Demeter's POV

'Its getting hot.' I paced around in one of the rooms inside Noirs castle.... I could feel the beast rattle in its cage.... 'I need to talk to saph SOON ....'

It was the next twilight morning... And according to Kaisha, Saphir was still asleep, while my clock was ticking. Intending on waking her up I walked to Noirs chamber, and slammed the doors open,

"What do you want now?!" I rolled my eyes at Noir who sat at his desk with his usual paperwork,

"Shut up! While your mate is over here sleeping the twilight away, I'm in danger of being mated!!!!" Saphir must have felt me, since I saw her sit up in bed,

"OH GODS ALMIGHTY!!!! WHY ARE YOU NAKED PUT CLOTHES ON!!!!" I turned while Noir snarled,

"She wouldn't have to if you had Knocked! I should rip your eyeballs off!!!" From the corner of my eye I saw him disappear through a set of double doors, and come back out with a pile of clothing, "Here love, wouldn't want the jackass looking at what belongs to me." I heard movements, and then turned to see saph in clothes that were definitely not hers.

"What's gotten into you Demeter.... Its early twilight." I nodded at her words,

"Yes, and its the day before mating season begins to attack Saphir or have you been blind to look at your calendar?" She blushed and slightly glanced at Noir, who winked and flashed her a toothy grin, "I don't want to be here when you think about gross things like that. I just came to ask for help."

That confused her, she looked at me with a raised brow,

"Father found a mate... And I refuse to marry or mate any woman he shoves into my door step. Help me stay away from the fire sector at least till this week ends." I saw her eyes widen,

"Thats why he asked for you the other day... Said they needed you home urgently."

"Yeah to mate me off to some random chick." She scrunched up her face,

"Shut up Demeter, I've caught you snogging, eating, and inches deep in many a female. Just mate somebody already!!!"

"FUCK THAT! I LOVE BEING FREE!!" she snorted and shook her head,

"Noir?" He looked up from his work and they looked at each other for a very long time, then he nodded,

"You can stay here.... Ill have one of the staff chain you up tomorrow, soon as the week is done ill release you." Immediately I felt relief.

"Thanks i seriously don't want to. mate anybody." Noir then spoke again,

"But I suggest if you do get loose not to come near my floor..... I'll be very busy.... Busy indeed." Saphir blushed again, and turned to walk into the bathroom with a huff.

"Yeah... Gross .... I'll be sure to keep away."

I turned and headed to the room I was staying in, I could feel the slight burning of desire under my skin. Every female in this castle smelled delicious and it wasn't helping.

Alex's POV

I stepped through Noirs doors after Saphir called me to hang out. As soon as I stepped into his territory I felt a heavy almost thick aura surround me. I noticed it was worse through his doors,

"Hey there little mortal!" I rolled my eyes at Demeter's voice, and turned to yell at him only to stop mid way.

His usually human face was covered in scales, glistening verdant amber scales all over the edges of his features. His eyes were vibrant too and I found I couldn't speak....
