Hey readers! As the school year grows to a close I've begun to get back into my writing habits.... Been long since I wrote anything ... The last chapter was both amazing to write and hard to end.... Basically the chapter after this one is going through revisions as I write this and after some thought I decided to rewrite it.... This chapter will be a mixture of what I disposed of and what I already had for it.... I know... Confusing... But don't worry, just focus on the story.!!!!

Saphirs POV
"No Alex, I've never been mated before." For the hundredth time I answered Alex's question. After the little rescue mission they did for me, I was stuck now answering all sorts of questions for both her and Noir.
"So Noir is your first... But what about that guy... Meiwa-douche bag?" Shaking my head at her and her choice of words I answered,
"For a princess to be mated, she must accept the male.... When we dated... I was still a child and I didn't want to be chained. So I declined the courting...." nodding she perked up when noir showed up at the lunch table, his gear bag on his shoulder.
"Hey Noir did you know you're Saphs first ever mate?" He blinked and shifted his eyes to me, when I looked away, he glanced back down and dropped his gear on top of the table. "Why do you have to do that here ?!"
"To answer your first question... Me and Saphir are still not technically mates Alex... And second, yes, one of my desert eagles got waterlogged after our last mission.... I need them to be in tip top shape." Alex confused looked at me,
"But you're marked, I don't understand." With a sigh I turned to her,
"Alex, what do you think mating is exactly?"
"Like dating... Right?" With a smirk Noir shook his head,
"No you nimrod, its basically like marriage." her eyes went wide,
"So you two?... A..are engaged?" I sighed deeper and covered my face with my hands.
"For humans the mating is simple... You date... You get to know each other... And after a few years.. Or months... You suddenly decide you want to spend your lives together... Then it falls apart." Dejectedly I realized that I was glaring at my food, calming down I glanced back up at Alex,
"With me and Noir... For demons in general... Its different. There are steps to be taken now that Noir has marked me.... Some of them easy... Others not so much. And the fact that not only am I a princess but also a sentinel... There's many things we need to do... Starting with the maid." with a nod Alex chewed her food thinking.
"Am I invited to the wedding?" With a push of my chair I got up, "hey wait-"
"That's enough Alex ... I'm done with your questions. No I don't want to be married, I didnt ask for a mate... And yes... I'm under a lot of stress... I'm going to train, DO NOT FOLLOW ME." in a hurry I left the cafeteria, I was done with this...
She sounded so sure that it would all happen... Didnt she understand?... This relationship can't last...
'None of them do... And this one is no exception... No matter how much I care...'
