Saphirs POV

'Can you hear me... Somebody... Please.... HELP ME!'

I shot up in my seat, breathing heavy,

"Miss Winchester, if you cannot find it in you to stay awake you might as well have stayed home." I glanced at my teacher and nodded, she wouldn't understand that I was under meditation not sleeping.

The rest of the students continued to stare at me, until a growl made them turn. I glanced to my side, where Noir sat with a sneer on his face. He then turned to me and winked, I smiled and again sat lower in my chair.

I tried to find the voice again... But to no avail...

Noirs POV

She's been doing this for a while now.... Its been a couple of weeks now since the maid incident, and she's back to classes. But lately its like she's distracted, she's fidgety and sometimes looks around like she's looking for something.

Alex hasn't been herself either, she says she's been calling some boy from earth for the past few weeks here, and yet nothing... Slowly she's gotten passed her anger, and now she's sadder than I've ever seen the poor girl.

"I just don't understand why he won't call me... Or even answer my phone calls..." She was laying her head on saphir, while Saphir drew her claws through her hair.

"Maybe the reception doesn't reach.... It could be many factors Alex." I saw Alex frown and sit up,

"Like what Saphir? You think he's cheating on me?" Saphir shook her head and in a serious voice answered,

"No... I would have killed him already." Alex went pale and shook her head,

"Jesus Saph don't say that... You scare me some times." I saw her slightly shrug her shoulder and turn to the lunch table, a book with words I couldn't understand on it. "What is that you're reading?"

I was glad she asked, I was honestly curious too,

"Its a codex from the Below library.... Its centered on necromancy, but I'm looking at the pages that talk about my job and how I can control these powers better... " she flipped to another page and then sat up again looking around,

"What's up Saph, you feel something?" She glanced at me when I spoke... Then slowly shook her head,

"... No ... Must be my head playing games with me, this book is pretty confusing." She continued to read leaving us glancing at her with confusion.

It went on for days.... I counted 15 though Alex argues its been more.

Today I made my way to my chambers, I was downstairs with Kaisha when I felt her presence appear, and decided to leave her to her private time. She knows sooner or later... I'll be there...

Walking in I wished I would have reached sooner,

"S...Saphir?" her head tipped in my direction, while books of all shapes and sizes spun around her. She was in a silk nightgown sitting crisscross on my bed, but my room looked like a library had exploded.

"Noir?" She suddenly blinked and her once glassy, glowing violet eyes, snapped back into liquid pools of purple. "You look like you've seen the end of the river stix... Are you okay love?"

Nodding slowly I made my way over to my bed. Lifting books off of it I settled in front of her,

"Lately... I can feel your slight distress.... It started out small, like a prick.... And as the days have gone by I can almost feel it coating the edge of my senses. What bothers you Saph, what is it you search for?" Her gaze left mine and she sucked in a shaky breath.
