*ZABUZA'S POV*
Haku and I had just arrived in the village Hidden in the Stars. The village had called on us for a mission.
"Is that Zabuza?"
"Yes, the Demon of the Hidden Mist."
"Great, that's just what we need; another demon in our village."
Another demon? Was there another ninja assigned to this mission?
"Zabuza," Haku said. I looked over at Haku and he nodded down to my leg. I looked down and saw a little girl with a dark black mask on and white hair. I couldn't help but notice the look in her one visible eye. What I first noticed was the little spark of hope. The next thing was the sadness and lonelyness that dulled its red hue.
"Her eyes are like mine were." I heard Haku whisper.
"S-Sir," the girl began in a whispered tone. "I overheard something from the villagers. Oh, and I'm terribly sorry I touched you. The villagers don't like it when I do that." She whispered the last part the continued. "The villagers, they called you a demon. I want to know why, because they call me that too."
I tried not to show my confusion towards what she had said. This puny little girl a demon?
I shake her off my leg and she lands on the ground with an "oof."
"Go away kid. I have important business with the Hoshikage and I'm already late." I turn around and walk away from the girl.
"Wait! N-No... Please don't leave. I thought you were different! But I was wrong, you're all the same! Everyone hates me... I don't want to be alone!" I turned at the girl's screams and took a startled step back. A black chakra was forming large wings on her back.
"I don't understand!" People were screaming and running into shops and houses. The wings spread out from the girl's back, hitting a few shops, smashing through their walls.Someone in purple robes ran up to her and wrapped her in his arms. My curiosity towards the girl peakked when I recognized the hat of the Hoshikage.
The Hoshikage's mouth moved and when the girl tried to get away he hugged her closer to him.
"Come on Haku," I said, walking towards the girl and Hoshikage. The chakra resided back into the girl and she shakily got out of the Hoshikage's grasp.
"My, how nice to see you made it Zabuza. You had safe travels I hope." He posed more as a question. Deciding to ignore what had just transpired, I answered him with a grunt.
"Who's that?" Haku asked.
"This is Hibiki," he pointed to the girl. She'll be joining you on your mission."
'This brat?" was what I wanted to say, but if this girl means anything to the Hoshikage I don't want to insult her.
"About the mission, we need the rest of the details on what we are going to be doing." He nodded and motioned for us to follow him.
We walked into his office and the Hoshikage at down at his desk with Hibiki beside him.
"Your mission is an A-rank and very classified." He began. "This mission is fairly simple, if you have the right people to complete it. You are to go to the Village Hidden in the Clouds and steal their sacred scroll on medicine." He told a bit about where the scroll may be then sent us off.
*HIBIKI'S POV*
"I'm sorry we turned our backs on you and left." I looked over to the girl, Haku, and gave a silent nod.
"T-Thank you. Nobody's ever really apologized before."
"I apologized because I know how you feel. You don't understand why they hate you when you didn't do anything."
