Naruto had just had his fight with Dog Boy. He won, of course, and I was just about to congradulate him when he gasped and started sputtering.
"Speak up, Naru."
He put his hand up against his chest and pointed up towards the screen.
"Look!" I turned and smiled a little. Finally.
Hibiki Tsukino
Vs
Chinae Roshi (pronounced Ch-EE-Nay)
I heard the excited shout of a small girl from the other side of the room. I walked down the stairs with my hands in my pockets; much like I see Shikamaru doing.
When I got down the stairs I was surprised to see my opponent was a little girl with pink hair. I couldn't figure out whether she was young or just really, really short.
When I got up there I stood a good several inches higher then her and my shadow fully covered hers.
"Are you sure this little girl is allowed to participate in the exams?" I asked Hayate. He shrugged his reply then was interrupted by Chinae.
"Hey!" she shrieked. "I'm not a girl and I'm not 'little'." My eyes slightly widened. Then I began to laugh.
"Hey! Don't laugh at me!" I wiped a fallen tear then chuckled a few more times before answering the pouting boy.
"Don't worry, kid. I was laughing at myself, not you. It's just that I always seem to mix up the gender of others." I thought of Haku-chan and smiled sadly. The boy didn't let go of his pout, however.
"Still, I'm not a kid. I'mthirteen."
"And I'm fourteen."
The proctor sighed. "Just start already."
The kid smirked. "Yes! I'm gonna punch that mask right off your face!"
"Thank you. It is getting stuffy in here." He scowled and jumped at me, throwing random and weak punches. The few that managed to hit me were as light as he looked and I jumped back a few feet with a small sigh.
I wanted a harder, meaner opponent not this kid.
"You're not even trying to fight me! Come here and fight like a man!"
"But I'm a girl. It's physically impossible for me to fight like a man." He pouted. The kid reminded me of Konohamaru, a lot of fun to mess with.
"Just do something!" I shrugged and sat down on the floor.
"There," I said. He growled and ran at me.
I smirked from the other side of the room as he kicked and punched at my bored blood clone. She gave me a look and I nodded my acceptance. The clone disappeared in a pool of blood and I smiled at the look on the kids face.
"Are you happy now?"
"No!" he whined and stamped his foot. "Do an offensive jutsu or use that huge sword on your back, something!" I raised an eyebrow and slowly unsheathed the Executioner's blade.
I let my hands run up and around it's beautiful silver then pointed it right at the boy. He smiled a little, happy with my decision to fight until I burst his very little bubble.
"You are an opponent unworthy of this sword. It belonged to my late master and I only plan to use it when I feel the opponent is worthy." I put it back in its sheath then performed a jutsu just for him because I felt bad.
There was nothing wrong with being short. In fact, I thought it was kinda cute.
"Water Style: Water Shuriken Jutsu!" I took water from the air and sent it in the shape of shuriken towards the boy. He dodged them easily, but still looked happy that I was putting in some effort.
