I grabbed Naruto's arm and put a finger up to my lips. I could hear my heart beating loudly in my chest, the ones that were now entering the building beating with mine. Naruto started to protest, but once he saw the look on my face he shut up.
"Now," I whispered, "you are going to jump out of that window and you are going to run until you cannot possibly run any longer, got it?"
"What? What's happening Hibiki?" He stood up and stared up at me.
"No time to explain." They were ascending the stairs. A bead of sweat dropped down my face, and I pushed him towards the window.
"But," Naruto protested, "Pervy Sage said I needed to stay here and train. What's so important that I need to-" I slammed my hand against Naruto's mouth to shut him up.
They were right outside the door.
A few short knocks came and I felt Naruto suck in his breath. I glared a little at him. Of course he had to be stubborn and ask questions instead of just listening. This could very well be the day his life will end. But I won't let that happen. I refuse to let another Reason die.
I took my hand away as another knock came from outside the door. "Do a transformation justu," I whispered. "Then go and hide in that closet." I pointed towards a closet on the other side of the room.
I knew they would catch him if he ran out. Naruto was fast, but not that fast. They would definitely catch him. Not that he'd be any better hiding in a closet with a transformation justu, but at least I'd be around to help. Kisame is strong and will see right through an amatuer justu like that. Not to mention the fact that Itachi is a wild card. I know nothing about him right now, yet his name seems very familiar.
He nodded, finally deciding to listen to me. He made a handsign and transformed into an unassuming box. Well, unassuming to the trained eye of course. I sighed a little as he shuffled into the closet. I had to open it and close it for him.
Another knock came from the door.
"O-One second!" I performed a jutsu on myself, looking like I had when I transformed with Haku. It's easier then thinking up a whole new look.
I opened the door and smiled at the two, but the smile left my face when I saw the red eyes beaming back at me. I undid the jutsu and revealed my own Sharingan.
"Guess there's no use hiding it now, since you can see through it." I said.
"Where is the Jinchuriki? We know he's here." The one named Itachi spoke up and looked into our room, searching for any clue that Naruto was there.
"I'm afraid that I don't know who you're talking about." I narrowed my eyes at the both of them. I needed to hold them back until I could figure out the best course of action. We needed a-
I was kicked to the side by Itachi. Pain erupted through my chest when I hit the wall across the room. I yelled out as I felt blood pour down my chest. I still wasn't fully healed from Sasuke impaling me.
"Hibiki!" There was the sound of a poof as Naruto undid his jutsu and pushed opened the doors of the closet.
"Idiot," I murmered.
"There's the little demon," Kisame said. A sadistic smirk made it's way onto his face and he turned towards Naruto. His hand gripped the hilt of his sword.
I achingly put up a hand sign and tried to perform a jutsu. Itachi cut me off when he put his hand against my throat, pushing me against the wall.
"You're too slow," he said. I gasped for breath with wide eyes, reaching up and clutching Itachi's wrist.
