Chapter Three

I give him things so he can change in my private bathroom. While he does that I tell everyone I am turning in earlier and to not bother me. They do as I say and don’t bother me at all. At midnight, though I have school in the morning, I don’t sleep a wink. I can’t. With Jin sleeping by my side my heart is going crazy. I can only be wary of him and watch his beautiful sleeping face. He looks so innocent; you wouldn’t guess he was in the mafia.

When I am finally falling asleep he moves slightly. I ignore it. That night I dream he is telling me something and he kisses me goodbye before dawn strikes. When I wake, he is gone. All that is left is the dent of someone’s sleeping shape next to mine.

Today it rains and storms without end. The ominous feeling clinging to my pillows he had slept upon make me unsettled. I know he won’t come tonight because of the rain. I will wait and hopefully he will come tomorrow as usual.

Yesterday it stormed without rest, and today is the same. I am very depressed now. I won’t be seeing Jin tonight. Unless I sneak out of the house through my room, hopefully I won’t get caught. I put on my cloak and grab my cellphone. Quietly after giving the orders not to be bothered and pretending to sleep I get up and leave.

Remembering the way to his family mansion I hide from gangs and others preying in the night. I arrive and the feel of the house is strange. Once he gave me some of his clothes and hair jell, I put that on before I left. Once taking off my cloak I look just like a mafia. I look around and spot his sister.

At first I think she notices me and hide, but when I look back she is gone. I sigh in relief and open my eyes face to face with her. She covers my mouth before I scream and shushes me. We hear voices and I am afraid something will happen to me. To my surprise she pulls me into a bush and we hide till people pass. When we are sure they are gone with both sigh and I turn around to look at her. “Shin, right?”

“Yes…” She gets a sad face.

Her eyes scream that something bad has happened. “I have something or you from my brother. He said that if you were to ever show up, I must give it to you.” She hands me an envelope and leads me back outside. We get half way to my home and she says goodbye.

“Thank you…” She smiles as though with sympathy. “If you ever need help or anything, call for me. No matter what it is.” She bows and soon disappears into a crowd. What a strange person…

I arrive back home sneaking into my room and take a shower, Once I am clean and the jell is gone I dress or bed and put the letter beside my bed. I am so tired, though I am worried it may be nothing, I will read it in the morning.
