I ran into the house and made my way to Kaden's room. I opened the door and he wasn't there. I got to our room and I saw kike and the rest "who's she?" I straightened my back and glared at the foreign person in my presence

"I should be asking you that"

"ladies, ladies, calm down, Seyi this is the witch that will help us tonight with the black maria" I gave her my sarcastic sweet smile and she rolled her eyes
"due to change of plans we will attack at the new year's party which is in five minutes" Wale paused and looked at kike

"you all should be in your positions and be ready to strike"

Seyi you have to leave before all of us

Everyone started leaving and I scrambled up my feet and walked towards the door when I heard a voice "I want to talk to you Seyi" I paused and Luke gave me an apologetic smile before going in the direction of Kaden's office

Seyi don't give in
Luke! Luke listen to me , whatever happens get Kaden out of here
I can't, I'm sorry Seyi but we will be waiting for you outside

I looked at Wale and motioned for him to speak. Kike and the witch had this smile and I moved back a little letting my energy flow through my veins "I'm sorry Seyi but for the plan to work you have to be in actual danger" I took another step back and felt betrayal hit me like a thousand needle pricks
"what are you saying Wale?" Wale scratched his head and kike stood up walking closer to me. I used my energy to surround me with water and the witch chuckled
"what he's saying is that now you're bait" she stepped on the ground and the earth shook. I created a barrier around me and the witch chuckled. She chanted some words and the water fell with a splash.

No no no this can't be happening

I tried to raise it up but it just created splashes. The witch came with a dagger and I punched her. kike brought rocks from the ground and bound my hands with it forcing me to knell down. The witch got to me and slapped me. She cut my wrists and poured my blood into a goblet. She chanted some words and her fair skin turned caramel and her face morphed to mine and she gave a wicked smile. I felt my eyes get teary and I felt really weak

"what are you" I looked at her and she smirked

"of course, I'm you darling, Wale watch over her. Let's go kike" the rocks came down and I fell to the ground with a thud. I winced and so did she but she tried to cover it up. The others didn't seem to notice but just to be sure I bit my tongue and she glared at me before walking out of the room with kike.
"I'm sorry Seyi, I really am" he sat down beside me and I scooted away. He sighed and I stared into the distance. I held my necklace and cried silently. I sniffled and cleaned my face. Wale looked at me before pulling me and making me to face him directly "this person do you have feelings for him?" I ignored him and he gave an angry sigh before holding my hands harshly

"Answer me! Do you have feelings for him?"

"it's none of your business Wale. I love" I paused and looked at him " I loved you with everything Wale, I trusted you and you really hurt me. I don't think I can forgive you, well not easily anyways" I took a deep breath and faced him "did I ever mean anything to you Wale? Was everything planed? our hugs, kisses? I feel so used Wale!"
"I swear to you Seyi my feelings were sincere and they still are" I cleaned my face and smiled "no Wale you never loved me".
I woke up to someone shaking me and my eyes met Wale's auburn and I looked away. He carried me up and I held the wall for support "what are you doing?" he gave me water and I drank it greedily not spilling one drop. I looked at him and raised my brows
"I love you that's why I'm letting you go Seyi" he opened the door for him and I looked at him sceptically before stepping out. I turned to the direction of the music but I felt a hand pull me back and I met Wale's gaze. He caressed my cheeks before pecking my fore head " I will always love you Seyi" I pulled away and ran to the direction of the music. I got to the place and everywhere was crowded. I spotted Luke dancing with the witch and I made my way to the opposite direction. So far, I've been able to avoid most of the warriors or traitors. I walked towards Kaden's office and peeped through the key hole. Wale was with him and they were laughing?

Wait me and the witch look alike so let me use that to my advantage.

I held my head high and walked into the room. Wale looked at me confused and Kaden stood up
"hey you" he embraced me and wale got up.
"let me excuse you guys" he scratched the back of his neck and I held his arm "actually, I was looking for you" I smiled at Kaden and we went outside "I forgot the plan" he looked dazed before he got angry. I didn't know what was happening and I was suddenly pushed inside a room.

"you forgot the plan!?" he held my neck and raised me off the ground. I struggled in his grasp and started seeing black dots before he let go "the plan is to kill Kaden and not hurt Seyi" he scowled at me and I flinched back "listen up here Amar you are only a pawn if you try anything I will kill you" his eyes shifted from their auburn to a bright red "understand?" they got back to normal and he walked out of the room.

I shook off the feeling and walked back to the party. I spotted Kaden and saw the witch in his arm. He was massaging her neck and she glared at my direction. She pointed at me and Kaden stood up and dropped her on the ground.

I can't run from Kaden I wouldn't. I walked towards him and he brought and iron pole to his hand with his power and hit me on my leg. I tripped and fell before turning to face him. He was about to hit me again but I rolled to the side and dashed off in the direction of Luke's energy. I got to the lake and Kaden's voice boomed around me "stop!" I covered my ears and fell down in pain. He got closer and a loud scream was heard from the behind him. The witch fell and held her chest also. He looked confused before coming closer to me.
"Kaden it's me, I'm the real me" he hardened his gaze and I felt the tears fall
"you're hurting me Kaden" I cried out loud and the witch walked to Kaden , pain clearly written in her face. Kaden held her and I felt a pang of pain in my heart. "where does it hurt" he looked at her with so much love it made me angry suddenly

I'm trying to save his freaking ass and he clearly cannot differentiate between the fake and real me. Oh, it's on.

I got up and Kaden tried to do whatever it was that was making me feel pain but I raised the water high with all my strength and smacked his face causing him to drop the witch and fall to the ground. I raised the water again then, made the place foggy. I laid in the witch's position after pushing her up. I brought the water down and he was looking for me then spotted the actual witch.
"you bitch!" he ran to her and held her gaze. He was about to strike her when voices were heard "Kaden, stop!" I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Luke

Thank God!

"for all we know that might be the real Seyi" he glared at me and I face palmed

Kaden stepped away from her and went towards Luke "you two have five minutes to prove yourself " he paused and smirked
"or I'll just take the pleasure in killing you both"
