"welcome, welcome " the house was packed with so many strange faces, wishing Kaden a happy birthday and some congratulating him on the LFP. I walked into the room and eyed Mia from and eyeshot. She met my gaze and leaned closer to Kaden fuelling my jealously even more.
"Hey just ignore it" Luke was by my side in a second and held my waist, successfully pulling me away from the duo. He held my waist and we swayed slowly to the music. I checked them out and they were also dancing at our backs.

My heart squeezed and I closed my eyes. They were chest to chest now and the whole crowd applauded and awwed at them. My eyes stung and I tried letting go of Luke's hand but he held my palm and leaned close to my ear
"calm down Seyi, just breathe" I held in a sob and a drop escaped the ocean that was to come. Luke pulled me into his chest and I hid my face feeling ashamed and used; again.
"shh, it okay" he kissed my hair and the tears came on their own accord. He pulled me out of the event centre and we sat on a bench. The night was chilly and it sent shivers down my spine. I wiped my face and looked at Luke who looked more confused than ever.
"um thanks Luke " he scratched his head and smiled. I gathered the folds of my gown and raised them up "if you'll excuse me" I walked back into the hall skirt in hand and went straight down to the table for food

At least food wouldn't hurt me

I took a grilled full chucked and took the thigh tearing a big slice from it and savouring the taste then taking another bite. I'm 3 months due for delivery and my powers are all wonky so I've decided to stay away from them for a while. A moment later ........... a big smile was on my face, the bones that was left of the chicken laid on the table,

I'm sure if there was chicken heaven, I'd be toast.

I walked back to the hotel room designated for me and heard muffled sounds coming from it. I opened the door slowly and saw Kaden in all his glory holding Mia's waist, his lips on hers: her lips on his, moving in sync with his. A sob escaped my lips and they pulled out from each other shocked to see me. I took a step back and Kaden took one forward

"Seyi relax, it's not what it looks like" the tears were already falling and I dashed out of the room. I heard loud footsteps following me and I slid down the wall crying as I felt all my problems weigh me down. I felt strong arms enclose me and inhaled the familiar scent of Kaden and tried to pry his arms off me. He held me closer and punching him seemed useless.
"I'm so sorry please let me explain" my hands fell limp to my side and my new found anger was fuelled with rage.
"don't explain any damn thing to me Kaden just keep whatever crap you have to yourself, I hate you and you should hate you to." I was preparing myself for another speech when Luke ran towards our direction and shouted our names "we are being attacked by the LFP!" I leaped from where I was and ran outside with Luke. Kike was throwing stones at the building and I searched frantically for that one person. Disappointment coaxed my veins when I didn't spot him but someone spotted me though

"hello Seyi"

"Kike" the ground below me shook and I fell down. Kike smiled and Luke was trying to keep the rest of with fire.
"aww poor Seyi can't use her powers because she's pregnant" how in hell did she know that. The earth under me shifted again and my whole body vibrated on the impact. She formed a spear from the earth and smiled sinisterly
"goodbye Seyi junior" before the spear could piece me, I raised water from the fountain and formed a spear of my own colliding with that of Kike. She looked dazed and I used it to my advantage, pushing her on the floor. I couldn't do much because of the baby in me but I tried my best to swing painful punches. I overpowered her and sat on the floor with a sigh binding her limbs with ice. I felt weaker by the moments and the ice was also getting weaker. The ice finally broke and Kike stood up and slapped me, ready to return double of what I did to her. She was about to strike a blow when a voice made the two of us to turn our heads backwards.

"that's enough Kike" Kike smirked and stepped aside for the person I've longed to see"hello Seyi" I stared in disbelieve at Wale. He grew taller and manlier with a rugged look to his features. His shoulders were broader and his eyes; colder. I opened my mouth to say something but then closed it. He helped me up and pulled me along. Kaden, Luke and Mia were bounded to a tree and Kike smiled viciously.
"what are you going to do to them" Wale smirked and Kike answered my question "burn them of course, make them suffer the same fate we did or didn't" she giggled and the rest of LFP giggle along. Wale raised his hand and a fire wielder came forth. when he dropped his hand, the tree was set ablaze right before my very eyes. Luke didn't seem affected by the heat but I couldn't say the same for Kaden and Mia. I tried to get more water but then Kike blocked my chi. The tears were there and the fire was getting to their leg level

"please stop" Wale pulled me into his chest shielding me from the unruly sight. Mia had begun to scream and Kaden whispered comforting words to her.

Even till death he still loves her

I pushed Wale away and ran towards the ocean. Kike shook the ground and I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder on my falling impact. I staggered up and Wale was already by my side holding me and pulling me back to the scene
"let me go!" he ignored me and I felt so angry that the tears were falling freely
"let us go!" thunder boomed in the clouds and soon it began to rain. The necklace began to glow and I felt a sharp pain on my stomach
"argh!" the pain kept growing and I felt something in between my legs. I tore the lower part of the gown and the baby's head could already be seen.

Hell no

Another wave of pain hit me like a thousand bricks and I let out another cry. Luke had already freed them and their wounds were healing. They rushed to my side and Mia tried touching me but I growled at her.
"get your hands off me you fucking bitch" she stepped back and Luke carried me to the back of the resort into the forest. Kaden held my hand but I just yanked it away.
"Luke I'm scared" Luke looked confused but did a good job of covering it up. He kissed my hair and braced himself
"okay Seyi just separate your legs and push okay?" I nodded my head and separated my legs.
"Mia get some water, Kaden hold her down" Kaden looked confused and Luke smiled "trust me for both our sakes" Kaden held my hands down and Luke smiled at me
"okay Seyi its just remain the shoulders and everything will be easy breezy, okay" I grunted in reply and felt more at peace when the water was by my side

"push!"

"arghh!" I pushed with all my might and Luke smiled after sometime I stopped and began to cry "I can't do it Luke"
"yes, you can Seyi, just one more push okay? 1, 2, go!" I closed my eyes and pushed with all my might before the darkness consumed me, assuring me of a peaceful slumber
