"what the hell is your problem do it this way!" I looked at the egg on fire and wondered what was wrong with it.

It seems alright, right?

Seyi pushed me aside and brought the perfectly good eggs down. I glared at her and Luke's laughter could be heard from the background. She narrowed her eyes at me and I held her gaze.

I'm not losing so easily

She's been so cranky lately it getting on my freaking nerves. First, she tells me to warm her bathing water then complains it's too hot then I added more cool water and said it was too cold. For weeks I get the fact that she's pregnant and all her hormones are all wonky but at times I feel she's doing these things on purpose. I stepped aside as she struggled to turn around without hitting me. By now Luke was already on the floor, clutching his tummy and cackling like a witch. She finally turned around and glared at Luke.
"stop laughing " Luke sobered up and smiled apologetically at me. I frowned and Seyi started crying

Ugh what now

"I want chocolate" you've got to be kidding me. Luke broke into another fit of laughter and Seyi glared at him and he calmed down a little "it's my turn to look after the house you and Kaden will have to go" she smiled at me and all my anger melted away.

Ugh damn you heart

"okay let's go" she ran out of the car and sat in the front seat. I opened the door and together we drove to the market.

"pick the white one!"
"let's just take the normal coloured chocolate Seyi" she looked at me then picked the two chocolates and threw it into the cart. Turns out we were shopping for junk food instead of chocolate sorry just chocolate. Right now, we had gummy bears, skittles, sneakers, marshmallows you name it. She ran to the other aisle and I sat on the ground relaxing and waiting for her to pick whatever she wanted.

I closed my eyes and felt a tap on my shoulders

"Kaden?" I looked up and saw what I didn't expect to see in a very long time
"Mia!" I got up from the cart and hugged my long-time friend well lover before I left for LFP. She seemed excited to see me and I smiled down at her. She leaned to kiss me and I closed the gap between us "ahem" Mia pulled out blushing and I scratched the back of my head.

"hey Seyi" I scratched the back of my head and motioned to Mia
"this is Mara" I paused and Mia intertwined our fingers "his girlfriend" all colour left Seyi's face and I looked at Miain panic

Why would she say that?

Seyi cleared her throat and smiled at Mia holding her stomach. That has become a habit especially when she wants to be intimidating "hello Mara" she looked at me and smiled "bring my things when you are done, I'm calling Luke"
"Seyi please" she turned around and walked away from us. I yanked my hand away from Mia's and she looked hurt but that isn't getting to me. I know her
"what's your game Mia? Why are you even here" she smiled and held my hand in hers again? "I got my powers and tracked you to this location Kaden. I came for you because I love you. You did give me a choice then"
"that was then Mara. You chose society over me , even though I never mentioned it I've moved on and I'm sure you did in this past few years" she frowned and I separated our palms and kept mine in my trousers pockets." we are not meant for each other , well not anymore"
"please" she held my arm and I shrugged her off "I'm sorry Mara I loved you, I still do but I've moved on and I hope you do so to" I walked out of the mall after paying for the junk food and saw Seyi sitting at the back of the car. I mustered up a smile and she looked away. I kept the things and sat in the car
"are you ready?" she looked at me and smiled
"no, I'm on my way to Alaska, of course I'm ready!" I drove home and we both sat in silence, me awaiting the long talk

The long talk never came. In fact, immediately we got home she walked straight into her room and closed the door. Luke gave me a look and I shrugged not knowing what else to do

What does she want form me?

I went to her door silently and knocked the door

"Seyi, Seyi baby it's me, please open the door" I got no answer so I pushed the door opened slowly and was greeted by an empty room "Faseyi?" still no reply. I walked towards her night stand and felt cool breeze on my skin

No no no. I ran to the open window and looked down.

"and what are you doing in my room?" I turned back and hugged the figure behind me "Seyi I was so worried "she looked accomplished and I felt a pang hit my heart
"you don't have to be worried " I turned to walk out and she held me "let me make this clear Kaden O'Neil. when something is mine its mine. Just because I told you I'm not ready doesn't mean one saint can walk into your life claiming to be your girlfriend .one way or another Kaden I have feelings for you and you to me so better find a way to fix the problem or we'll be needing those fake id's for an emergency patient"

Feisty

"so, what are you saying Seyi, do you want me? Because I hell don't want to wait around and get hurt by the one I love. I love Mara I still do but I love you more Seyi and you've been hurting me these days so make your choice now"

She held my gaze and I walked closer to her and cupped her cheeks in my palm

"tell me to stop Seyi you have 3 seconds" I walked even closer and looked her in the eye
"1" she looked at me and I kept my face straight
"2" I brought our faces together and could feel her breath mix with mine. She closed her eyes and leaned closer
"3" I brought our faces together and her lips were nowhere to be found because I already claimed it.
