Not only is the bad boy concept a cliché, it has it's health hazards.
1) Smoking- The classic cliché typically depicts the bad boy as a smoker. As modern science has shown, smoking can greatly increase the risk of lung cancer. How people see smoking as "hot"(as described by the main characters) greatly confuses me. Yet the bad boy still does it. Apparently he doesn't care about his health. He might say he does it because it is cool or he doesn't care, but in 40 years, it may not have been cool or a wise decision. Also, the main character will have to deal with smoker's breath and teeth on a regular basis. Seriously dude, lay off the cigarettes.
2)Motorcycle- Motorcycle's are never 100% safe. If you wear a helmet, it's safer then if one weren't. However, the bad boy cliché never uses a helmet because he doesn't want to wear one. Also, it's Wattpad World, so everyone never gets killed from a motorcycle incident because they have a Magic Fairy and good health care.
3)Gang Guy- Lately, it seems every bad boy cliche involves a gang, and the bad boy is always part of it. Gangs are dangerous and may cause death, but hey it's Wattpad! Everyone is safe! (But not in the real world). Who cares if you are shot or poisoned? Its's okay! The author will write it so you have amazing immunity to poisons or just happened to be wearing a bulletproof vest.
Being a bad boy isn't very healthy.
