"So, you're absolutely sure about this?" Michelle's voice came through clearly on the Panasonic cordless phone; uneasy and completely unsure of her friend's final decision.

Beyoncé had finally came to terms with the fact that she shared mutual feelings with Shawn and was willing to do anything to make him see it. Michelle knew her friend better than anyone, and settling down just wasn't her. She liked Shawn, he seemed like a really nice guy and the last thing she wanted was for him to get his heart broken, he was too good for that.

"Yes, Michelle." Beyoncé chuckled and rolled her eyes. "I'm sure!" She positioned the phone between her cheek and shoulder before going back to the task at hand. Dinner. She hated nothing more than cooking, but despite what she liked, she had to do it, or otherwise Brendan would starve or be forced to eat fast food everyday; something we're all sure he wouldn't argue with.

"You gonna call him or what?" Michelle asked getting impatient. She was dying to know the outcome of this.

"So now you're rushing me!!?"

"Mommy, is dinner ready yet? I'm staaaaarviiiiiiiing." Brendan stood in the doorway of the kitchen; inhaling the scent of hot Spaghetti sauce on the stove.

Cutting Michelle off before she answered, Beyoncé laughed at his dramatization. "BOY! You don't even know what starving means...sit down." she motioned for him to go ahead and sit at the table. "Girl, let me call you back so I can feed this little man over here."

"Don't call me back until you've talked to Shawn and you have a juicy story to share! You hear me ?" Michelle thoroughly informed her.

"Alright, Alright. BYE!!" Beyoncé hung up and put the phone on the counter.

"What's so funny?" Brendan asked; squirming in his seat.

"Nothing baby, your Aunt is just crazy." she replied, picking up the plate she made and set it on the table in front of him. He nearly snatched the paint off of her nails, grabbing the fork out of her hand and stuffing his tiny mouth.

All she could do was shake her head; knowing damn well he'd be asking for seconds in about 5 minutes.

Eating, was the last thing on her mind at the moment. She had to figure out how she was going to deal with Shawn. She picked up the phone and walked into the living room; dialing his number at the same time. She was just about to hang up after the sixth ring but he picked up; yelling over the noise around him.

"Yeah!" he answered coolly, after seeing her name pop up. It took every muscle in his body to hide that fact that he was actually happy to hear from her.

"I need to talk to you!" She stated, bluntly not even caring that he was already out and that she was no doubt, probably putting a damper on his night by calling him in the first place. She knew the only reason he had kept his distance was because of the way she reacted to him coming completely clean about the way he felt about her. Now it was her turn.

Hearing the tone of her voice, Shawn decided to remove himself from the ruckus surrounding him and let his boys know he'd be right back. "Wussup B?"

"I'd rather not do this over the phone Shawn. I can hear that you're out, so do you mind stopping by here before you go home?"

"Alright, I'll probably leave in the next half hour. You Okay?" He heard the urgency in her voice but didn't know exactly how to interpret it. For all he knew, she could have just gotten herself in some trouble and needed his help to get her out of it. It's not like it hadn't happened before.

"Yeah, I'm good." she assured him and rubbed the back of her neck; nervously.

"Aight Lil Mama, I'll be over there later." That right there was one thing that she loved about him. He was always willing to drop whatever he was doing, just for her.
