"Mom, please don't start with the 'I told you so' routine." Michelle fluffed a pillow on her bed and spoke into the phone before laying back. "Seriously, I'm not in the mood today!"

For a week, Michelle had been secluding herself from the public and sulking around her apartment.

The main reason for this being that she didn't feel like hearing all of the boasting from her friends and not to mention her mother. Unfortunately all of the hiding had nipped her in butt and her mother of all people had picked it out of her first.

"I just want to know what happened! You know you can talk to me sweetie!"

"What do you mean, 'What happened?' .." Michelle rolled her eyes. 'Is she serious?' she thought.

"I found something in his apartment that didn't belong and pointed him out on it. It was as simple as that!"

She knew her mother was probably beyond elated at this point. She had been proven to be right in an argument between the two of them, yet again.

Just as she thought, Linda just wasn't going to be able to pass this opportunity up. "Now, I'm not going to say it, but what did I tell you!?"

Michelle sneered and threw her hand over her forehead. "Bye Ma!" She announced; trying to end the conversation.

"So now your trying to get rid of me. You better watch yourself, in the end, I'm going to be all you have!"

With that comment; lingering around in her mind, Michelle pressed the end button and hung up in her mother's face. She threw the phone across her king-sized bed and pulled the covers over her head in disgust; regretting ever answering the call in the first place. She knew her mother was probably going to end up making her situation worse than it was.

No more than 5 seconds later did her phone start ringing again.

"Ugh!" she grunted and reached behind the bed; pulling the plug to her house phone.

Letting out a sigh of relief, she turned off the lamp on her nightstand and curled up under the covers with every intention to sleep the night away.

That plan was soon shot, once she heard pounding on her front door. Unsure, at first she sat up slowly and looked around the dark room before sliding her feet into her slippers and walking out of her bedroom. Hugging the wall for support, she made her way down the hall and into the foyer.

Once she made it to the door; she knew exactly who it was by the constant bickering going on, on the other side.

"She's obviously not here! Lets just leave!"

"No, we haven't seen this bitch in how long and her car is right outside! She could be in there dead for all we know!! She's not even answe-" Beyoncé stopped mid scentence once Michelle opened the door.

"Oh my damn!" Kelly muttered taking note of the miserable look she had going. Her hair was everywhere and matched perfectly with the dark bags under her eyes. Beyoncé covered her mouth and looked at her like she was a sick puppy or something. "Aww Chelle!! Is everything okay?" She forced her into a hug and held her head on her shoulder.

Michelle chuckled and pushed her away. "I'm fine!"

"Don't you ever go that long without calling us again then!" Beyoncé smacked her arm, and made her flinch. "You had us worried sick!"

"Hmph. You had her worried sick, I'm use to your little hibernation attempts every now and then." Kelly announced and brushed past them; proceeding on into the living room.

"Well whatever, excuse me for being concerned!" Beyoncé replied in her defense while following behind Kelly.

Michelle closed the door before joining them. She flopped down on the sofa across from them and hugged one of the throw pillows up to her chest.
