Hundreds of guests filled the pews of the church, chatting amongst each other and wasting away time until the ceremony started. It was five minutes passed 2, the scheduled time of the wedding but a delay should've been expected. Things like this never started on time.

Right outside of the double doors Kelly and Michelle conversed amongst the other bride's maids before separating themselves from the bunch.

"You talked to Roy yet?" Michelle fell off topic with the rest of the women and pulled Kelly aside. She'd been wondering how they were going to resolve their issues knowing damn well they had to act civil throughout all the other things going on.

Kelly sighed and shrugged nonchalantly like she wasn't crying about the situation all night.

It'd dawned on her earlier that morning that she was going to have to do everything in her power to avoid the subject until the night was over. The last thing she wanted to do was overshadow her best friend's wedding day with her own marital issues.

"I don't think I can talk to him." She shook her head and looked around. "I'm not even looking forward to seeing him in the next few minutes. I keep getting this vision of me strangling his ass to death." Kelly was as serious as a heart attack but Michelle still found humor in the intense expression on her face and choice of words.

"Kelly, we're in church." She chuckled and looked around ashamed. Luckily no one had heard her.

"I'm sorry but God knows.." Kelly clenched her teeth and tried calming her nerves for the 50th time that day. "He knows more than anybody right now what I'm capable of doing."

"Hmph. I guess I spoke too soon 'cuz here he comes." Michelle took a deep breath after spotting Roy along with the other groom's men making their way over and lining up with their walking partners.

Brian came over with the quickness, swooping Michelle away while Roy was taking his time coming on over. She could tell in his walk that he wasn't having such a good day so far. Hmph, join the club, she thought.

Kelly turned her back and took her spot in the line up right behind Michelle and Brian. She turned her nose up watching them together. If she didn't know any better she would've thought they were an exclusive couple but Michelle would've told her the news by now right? Brian couldn't keep his hands off of her and Kelly had never seen Michelle smile so damn wide.

She was just about to blow their cover when Roy stepped up beside her adjusting his blazer and clearing his throat excessively.

She rolled her eyes and focused on the wedding planner who was now trying to refresh their memory with what they were suppose to do, where they were suppose to stand, etc.

"Been calling you all morning." Roy talked out the side of his mouth.

"I know." Kelly retorted bluntly.

"Mind telling me where you disappeared off to last night? I was worried sick when I realized you were gone."

"Oh really." She boasted sarcastically and glared at him. "I wonder how long it took you to even notice my absence."

"What's that suppose to mean?" He spoke a little too loud drawing attention to himself.

Michelle turned around making a face as if to say 'keep it down.'

"Kelly!"

"Look Roy, I'm not discussing this with you right now. I'm this close to smacking the mess out of you if I hear your voice again. So just please, do us BOTH a favor and just ..STOP.TALKING."

Kelly cringed on the verge of losing her cool but he backed off just in time for the ceremony to start. Whatever they were going through would have to be dealt with later.
