Marinette bit her lip as the crashes of the akuma outside got louder. She held Emma to her chest as she looked up at the ceiling in fear. "Where's Ladybug and Chat Noir?" Emma looked up at Marinette and Marinette kissed the top of her head.

"I don't know Emma," she stood up and packed a small bag for Emma. "You're gonna stay with grandpa and grandma for a little bit okay?" She hadn't told them about Emma but due to the news, they should know. She quickly moved Emma to the car and drove to the bakery. She walked inside and Sabine looked at her daughter. "Mama, I need you to watch Emma for a little bit." She set the child down along with her bag. Emma looked at her grandparents.

"Marinette you need to speak with us about her and who-"

"I will. Adriens busy today and I just need you to watch her for a couple hours," she kissed her mother on the cheek. "Thank you." She ran out of the bakery and down the street into an alley and transformed. Ladybug ran out onto the street and threw her yoyo onto a lamppost, hooking on and swinging to her house to fight the akuma. Chat glared at her at how late she was.

"Why did it take you so long!" Chat shouted at her.

"I'm sorry I had to protect a child and make sure she was safe," ladybug rolled her eyes and smelled something, bitter, coming from Chat. "And at least I'm not drunk."

"I'm not drunk, tipsy, but not drunk." Chat sighed and they fought together. At the end of the battle Ladybug set the butterfly free and her and Chat swung off to a building before paparazzi could get to them. Ladybug sighed as they watched the sunset on the top of the building.

She bit her lip but couldn't hold it in anymore. "My parents want to know about Emma and who her Father is and why I kept this from them." Ladybug sighed and Chat hissed in his teeth.

"Well tell them. I know you hate me and all, but you should tell them that we are her parents but we aren't together anymore." Chat shrugged and Ladybug nodded and swung to the bakery. She detransformed in an alley and walked into the bakery.

"Marinette," she looked a her mother. "Can you now explain why you dropped off our adorable granddaughter unexpectedly?" Sabine asked and Marinette sighed.

"I told you I needed a baby sitter for a few hours. Thank you for watching her." Marinette picked up her bag and placed the sleeping Emma on her hip.

"Can you tell us why you hid her from us?" Tom asked.

"I was giving her up for adoption and in my contract it said she would come back to me when she was three if she didn't find a family but they gave another year." Marinette bit her lip.

"Who's her father?" Sabine asked and Marinette shakily sighed.

"Adrien but we're not together anymore." Marinette walked out of the bakery and to her car and drove Emma home.
