Olivia sat down in the front of the room and Thomas was about to sit next to her when a brunette girl sat next to her. Olivia looked up at her brother. A student groaned as their teacher told them to move to the second row. "We have to branch out brother. Why don't you sit over there?" Thomas looked at the front room across from her and gulped. He sat down a row behind, the student taking off their headphones, his black hair rolling out and onto his brown eyes. Thomas never liked being the center of attention. Tikki patted his leg from the inside of his bag. Olivia quickly had the brunette set a piece of gum on the seat in front of him as Emma walked in, her eyes on that seat. She didn't notice. Thomas quickly tried to take it off.
Emma walked over to him and glared at him. "What're you doing?" He straightened up and held the gum in a tissue.
"I-I-I-I-" Olivia and the brunette started to laugh.
Emma glared at them then him. "So this is just a big joke huh? Nice job you three real funny!" She set a tissue down and sat down.
"N-No I was just trying to-"
"Save it." Thomas sighed and threw the tissue away then sat down.
"Hey calm down dude," he looked at him. "Emma's a tough cookie but she'll get over it."
"Y-Y-You sure?" He nodded.
"Totally!" He grinned. "The names Lucas." He stuck his hand out. Thomas shook it shyly.
"Thomas." He shyly responded, his wavy blonde hair falling in front of his blue eyes. During lunch Thomas sat with Olivia as he read his favorite book, Tom Sawyer.
"Hey look," Sky pointed to Thomas and nudged Emma. She looked at the cover of the room. "He's reading your favorite book."
Emma rolled her eyes. "That doesn't mean anything." Sky rolled his eyes and turned to her.
"Just make up with the guy already. He was just taking the gum off of your seat." Emma shook her head.
"He's the twin brother of Olivia Opal who's mother is the Mayor. I already have her hating me. Might as well have him hate me too." Thomas went away to study aboard but came back over summer.
"But you can be friends instead." Sky smiled.
"One friend is enough thank you." Emma glared at him, got up and threw away her trash as Thomas did. They bumped into each other at the trash can. He looked up at her from his book and bit his lip, his wavy blonde hair hiding his eyes. He closed his book and hung it at his side.
"I-I am sorry about the gum. M-My sister put it on and I was taking it off." He didn't met her eyes.
Emma bit her lip before sighing. "It's fine," it wasn't. "What're you reading?"
"T-Tom Sawyer." Her heart beat a little faster at how shy he was.
"Nice." She walked to her seat and talked with Sky. At the end of the day Emma stood outside the school and growled up at the sky. First an Akuma attack and now it was raining. Thomas sweetly smiled at her as Olivia waited in the car for him.
She grunted and he sighed. "I am sorry about the gum, alright?" She looked at him. "I stayed in a private boat for most of my life with no other students so this is new to me. It's only been me and my sister for a long time and I don't really know how to make friends," he opened the umbrella in his hand and gave it to her. "Here, you'll need this more then me," he looked down. She held the pole above his hand, the umbrella closing on them. He looked into her eyes and bursted out laughing. Blush grew on her cheeks. He opened it. "See you tomorrow?"
Emma nodded. "S-S-S-S-See y-y-y-y-you tom-toma-tomorr-tomorrow." She stammered hard as he ran to the limo and got in. Plagg flew out and laughed at her.
"You're in love!" He taunted her. Emma rolled her eyes and bit her lip.
"Y-Yeah," Plagg stopped laughing and looked at her, emotions filling her eyes. "I guess I am." Plagg smiled a little and hugged her cheek then flew into her jacket pocket as she walked home.
