Marinette couldn't believe her eyes. She thought she closed off all directions to her and...no. He was dead to her. She never thought of him again. She just, looked, at the small child. "Hi I'm Emma. You're my mommy right?" She couldn't be more then...
Emma watched as Louis tried to have fun with the other children. Key word;tried. She giggled as her five year younger brother couldn't keep up with the young girls in their small gossip group and wasn't strong enough to play the sports the boys were playing. He sighed and sat at the table with her and grabbed a small paper cup of water and drank it. Emma drank her bigger cup. Her best friend was coming over soon to help her watch the two groups.
"Something wrong little bro?" He nodded as he slammed the paper cup to the table, a few drops of water slipping out and landing on the wood table.
"Why do girls find the need to gossip and why do boys need to ruff house? Why can't we just all read a book and draw." He leaned back in the too big chair.
Emma laughed as hands covered her vision. She gasped as they made their voice lower pitched. "Guess who it is?" Louis giggled as the boy winked at Louis to keep quiet. He nodded.
"Uh Janis?"
"No." He slowly made it his normal voice.
"Carmen?"
"No."
"Oh! Zach!"
I am nothing like Zach!" He fly his hands in the air and Emma laughed and turned.
"I know," she giggled and hugged her best friend. "You watch the boys in the yard, Sky. I get the girls." He nodded and Emma walked off to the girls. He sat down across from Louis and looked at him as he took another sip of his water.
"What's up with you little man?" His brown fringe covering his grey eyes. His Father was Kim but his mother left after his birth. Kim never told him her name but has a ruthless stepmother.
Louis looked up at him. "I fit in no where. The girls only gossip and the boys only like sports." He looked down at his lap.
Sky nodded and stood up, picking up Louis and swinging him over his shoulder, his top part of his body facing Sky's back as he held Louis' legs. Sky whistled as he walked into the yard. He set down Louis and whistled loudly, getting the other boys attention. They ran to him. "How many of you like to read?" Emma talked about her siblings to much. Three raised their hands. "How many of you like to play with trucks?" They all raised their hands. "How many of you-" Louis blocked out what he was saying. Soon he was playing with the other boys on the small play set they had, roaring trucks down the slide, reading on the swings and coloring on the small table under the slide.

Angel wiped her eyes with her sleeve as she watched the snow fall outside. Tears stained her cheeks, remembering the big let down on her birthday. Louis sat next to her by the window and looked out, resting his arms next to hers then resting his head on his arms. "Why're you crying?"
"Daddy didn't come to our birthday." Nathanael.
"That was a while ago," Louis rolled his eyes. "Why don't you go paint?" She nodded and walked out her small aisle and pulled out the paint, brushes and got a cup of water. He pulled her hair back and she started to paint after getting a canvas. Emma walked in with Sky and they watched as Louis put on music and Angel painted to her hearts content.

Angel finished and looked at her work when she finished two hours later. She smiled up at it and let it dry, washing out the paint in her hair then her hands then going to bed.
