Marinette bit her lip as she lied in bed, listening to Adriens small snores from across the hall. Her heart beat faster as she listened to him and she felt like she was going to cry. She couldn't handle this. She couldn't handle having him in the same house as her again, like when he told her his identity. She didn't talk to him for a month in or out of costume. She turned onto her side and held a pillow to her chest and began to cry. She heaved out sobs into the pillow in the dead of night listening to something as simple as his breathing.
She just...missed it. Marinette missed how his hair would cover his eyes when he looked down at her. She missed when his eyes would sparkle when he got excited. She missed how soft his hair was. How his smile made her smile. How he held her. How he treated her. How he wouldn't give up on her.
But he did. He gave up on her when she was pregnant. Adrien was gone so much and Marinette knew it was to another woman but she didn't say anything. They were young and didn't know better. She heaved out another sob and cried harder. She bit her lip and tried to hold them back but couldn't. Her heart ached for him when her head forced her to say no. Adrien woke up due to the crying and walked across the hall to her room. He walked into her room and lied down next to her and held her head to his chest. He knew how to keep her calm.
"Why are you crying?" Adrien asked. She pushed him away and faced the other way. She heaved out quieter sobs into the other side of her bed. Adrien sighed and lied on his back and faced the ceiling. "You can talk to me Marinette," she turned and faced him and he turned his head to her. "You can talk to me about anything." She bit her lip and he turned onto his side. She couldn't get a word out when she opened her mouth. She just dug her head into his chest and cried more. He sighed and held her closer to him, his arms wrapping around her protectively. She looked up at him and he looked down at her, wiping away her tears from her cheeks. He sat up slightly and leaned over her, gently kissing her lips. She kissed him back. She couldn't help it.

Marinette panted with Adrien as he landed next to her, his body as ached as hers was. They took things slow, and even slow were they the same with each other. He faced her as she hit him with a pillow. He hissed and sat up as she hit him harder with the pillow. "What're you doing?" He took the pillow from her and she huffed and fell back against the bed.
"Why did we do that?" She held her hands over her face while shaking her head.
"Maybe the world is telling us we should be together." He lied down next to her and she hit him. He winced and laughed.
"You left me! If you left me why would the world want us together!" She yelled at him and he leaned over her. He gently kissed her, she couldn't help but do it back. He was so sweet.
