You had on and off flings with Tom,most of the time just for sexual gratification, mainly because Tom never thought he was stable enough to date you. Recently though he's been different been closer yes you two would have sex most of the time you where together but lately hes been taking you out to just sit and watch the stars or take you to the diner to talk or even a nice walk

He seemed stable....or you had thought he was until one night when he came over, He was in one of those Harry Warden moods,Not wanting to kill you,but just frustrated at the world. he started breaking stuff in your home and yelling at you for'Not being careful' or 'Not thinking straight' it all meant gibberish to you and all you could do was stand back and let out his frustrations on your poor decor

but when he turned he's attention on you that's when you couldn't stand back an be silent anymore

"Tom" -you put your hand out for him to stop but he kept coming twords you- "Tom! Stop!"

it was terrifying for you in the least and it ended you with a black eye and some broken ribs but thats when you decided to call it off with Tom, he wasn't to happy, but you knew you where right.

Now its been over 3 months without him everything's healed and you felt empty for some reason, it wasn't like you didn't know the reason, it was tom you missed him and it being valentines day didn't help at all. You sighed starting up your coffee pot when suddenly your doorbell went off you groaned but still went and answered it

but there was no one at the door when you checked all that was left was a note, confused you picked it up and read it

Hey there (Y/N) it's Tom. Meet me by the mines today 6:00 before the dance, Please

It was vague to say the least and seeing as how last time you say him he broke into your house and started throwing things you wanted to pass even if the little part of you that missed him objected. You tossed the letter on the counter and decided to go by your daily devices which included getting dressed, going to work, helping out with the Valentines day dance decor and lastly relaxing with a nice bottle of champagne and some chocolates as you browse the TV for anything that wasn't a romance movie

you walked into your house ready to enjoy the last part f your day, dropping your keys off by the letter...wait...the letter. You looked at it again and it made your heart wrench the side of you wanting Tom begged for you to go but you kept rejecting hoping getting drunk tonight would help get your mind off of it but as the night went on you kept thinking about it until finally you gave in throwing your coat on and grabbing your keys

once you reached the mines you instantly saw hanging lights and a romantic candle lit dinner right in front of the entrance to the main shaft. You stopped your car and got out of it looking around for Tom until you saw him come out of the mine with a thing of roses and a nice suit

your heart fluttered at seeing him again as you walked up to him "Roses? for me!?" you said sarcastically

"oh haha (Y/N)" he said back to your sarcasm before getting serious "I actually didn't think you would come" he said truthfully

"Didn't think i would either..." you said back

"Hey im sorry for what hapen-" Tom started

"Tom that was 3 months ago...i don't blame you...but i just didn't want to get hurt again but i found out it hurt more not having you."

"So that's why you came?"

"Yeah" you said looking down

Tom let out a big laugh making you snap your head up and glare at him

"What's so funny?!" You snapped

Tom didn't say anything and pulled you into a kiss before pulling away saying "I love you"

You smiled before saying back "love you too idiot" and kissed him again
