Morgan Christenson and her best friend Ashley were heading to the school. It was finally the month of May, and so they were walking since they didn't live too far away. Since they were neighbors, they walked together.

"I wonder what will happen at school now that it is warmer out," Morgan asked.

"Well I have an idea but you have to be free next week Tuesday, and be able to head to the high school with me," Ash responded. Morgan gave her a confused look.

"What are you talking about?" She asked.

"Oh I signed us up for something. You'll see next Tuesday," Ash responded. Morgan just shook her head. The rest of the way to school She just thought about what Ashley had said.

Like normal, school was super boring. Morgan went to class like normal, but one thing kept bothering her. What is happening next Tuesday? She thought. As she walked out of her class, she walked past the choir room which she glanced at the door, and saw a bright pink sign:

For 8th graders only!!

"Ash, you are going to pay for that!" Morgan said to Ashley as they walked home.

"Pay for what?" Ashley asked, innocently.

"You signed us up for show choir! You know I have stage fright," Morgan clarified.

"It's not like you will ever be alone on stage. Besides, it'll be fun! I figured Show Choir was a much better alternative to dance team, or gymnastics. This way we can sing while dancing," Ashley explained. Morgan just sighed. There is no way I can get out of this.

When Morgan got inside she collapsed on the couch, her laptop on her lap and her beats (c) headphones over one ear, and off the other. She heard the door to the house open and close.

"Morgan, I'm home!" Her mother shouted from downstairs.

"Hi mom!" Morgan shouted back. She didn't looked up from her laptop screen as her mom walked inside.

"Did you do anything fun today?" Her mom asked.

"No, but next week Tuesday, Ash signed the two of us up for show choir," Morgan responded.

"Show choir! Oh my, I remember I was in show choir when I was your age," her mom responded, clearly excited. Morgan just then looked up at her mother with a confused look.

"You were? I never knew that," she said, puzzled.

"That's ancient history, Morgan. Trust me, nowadays I wouldn't be able to do any of the moves we did then," her mom responded, unpacking her briefcase. Morgan turned back to her laptop.

"Sweetheart, what do you want for supper?" Morgan's mom asked. Morgan shrugged.

"I don't know, I think tacos would be great, but we don't have the supplies to make them," Morgan responded, shutting her laptop and moving to the kitchen. She smiled at her mother.

"So should we head out to eat? It's only you and me tonight, your father is on a business trip for the next two weeks," her mom responded.

"Sure, that sounds great! Can we get tacos?" Morgan asked.

"Sure."
