Morgan woke up at 5:30 am, still half asleep. She heard the phone ring and picked it up.

"Hello?" she said into the receiver. She heard nothing on the other end. She hung up the phone and yawned.

"Ashley, Kelsey, Lilly, wake up, it's time to start getting ready," she said sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She looked at her phone and saw a message from Holland, from the night before.

Sorry I didn't see your text earlier, long road trip. So I got your text about advice only after we got to the hotel, so sorry! Anyway, my advice to you would be to just give it everything you've got! It's like a group performance, except...Well, minus the group, but add everything a group would do to just you! Also, don't get too nervous on stage. I know it's hard to not get nervous, but once you're out there, everything will feel natural! I promise! Anyway, we'll see you later! Lotta love to you!

-From Me and the rest of the group! <3

Morgan smiled after reading it. She texted Holland back.

Morning! Thanks, sorry I didn't get back to you, we had a crazy night and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I passed out. I didn't even think to check my phone, sorry. Thanks for the advice, that helped a bit. I still am nervous, but that did help. <3 much love to you from us all. See you in an hour or so! Btw, Side Saddlers perform at 8:30, so be there. We always sit in the middle of the front row, find us there!

Morgan got out of bed and shook Ashley next to her.

"Huh, not sweet pickles, dill," she said before opening her eyes. Morgan laughed at her.

"Were you dreaming of pickles?" she asked, still laughing. Ashley sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"More like a nightmare! They wanted to give me sweet pickles on my sub sandwich, and sweet pickles do not belong on sandwiches! Only as a snack or a side part with Thanksgiving," Ashley explained to Morgan. Morgan laughed at her even more.

"Ashley, you are so random," Morgan said laughing. Kelsey and Lilly both sat up.

"Wow, you wake up fast, Morgan. Why are you laughing?" Kelsey asked, rubbing her eyes. Morgan laughed harder.

"Ashley... was dreaming of pickles," she said laughing.

"It wasn't a dream! I told you, it was a nightmare! Sweet pickles do NOT belong on sandwiches!" Ashley said to them all. The other two girls laughed.

"Ashley, you are so random!" Kelsey said, tears running down her face. Ashley shook her head.

"Morgan already said that," she said, faking the sound of being offended. Lilly shook her head and ran into the bathroom.

"Dibs!" she said as she shut the door. The other three shook their heads.

"I'm gonna pack up a bit. You two should too," Kelsey said to Ashley and Morgan. "Also, Morgan, if I were you, I would wear your solo dress from the beginning of the day. You sing at 1:30, right after the lunch break, don't forget," Kelsey said to Morgan, who just nodded.

"Yeah, I should, shouldn't I?" she said, grabbing the dress. Ashley smiled.

"Not only because of the timing, but because Gavin won't be able to take his eyes off of you!" Ashley said smiling. Morgan blushed slightly.

"Ash," she shook her head.

"Like I said yesterday, if you two kiss, I want details!" Ashley said in a sing-songy tone as she packed up. Morgan shook her head. As Lilly was getting out of the bathroom, dressed and somehow already had her hair done, Morgan headed in there. She changed into her solo dress quickly. The dress was similar to the one she wore on her date with Gavin. It was sequined and navy blue -of course- but it had a scalloped hem, and was long sleeved, but off one shoulder. The dress was skin tight around her midsection, but it flared out at her hips. She looked in the mirror and smiled. She put on a layer of lip gloss, and a light dusting of concealer and a tiny bit of eyeliner and mascara. She squirted a bit of perfume on and looked in the mirror. She smiled a bit at the image she saw in the mirror.

"Ugh, Morgan hurry up! I wanna see you in your outfit!" Ashley exclaimed from inside the room. Morgan took a deep breath and walked out. She heard Ashley and Kelsey gasp.

"What are- Oh my! Morgan, you look..." Lilly commented, her bronzer in her hand, her show makeup half done. "Your makeup makes my show makeup look inferior to your beauty!" she exclaimed, turning back to her mirror as she continued her makeup. Ashley giggled and ran into the bathroom.

"I'll be right out!" she shouted from in the bathroom. Kelsey looked at Morgan and she smiled.

"Wow... just wow, Morgan. I'm amazed at how grown up you look right now," she said to her younger friend. Morgan smiled.

"I guess you can say I "Tried"," she joked. Kelsey laughed.

"I guess so. Come on, let's head down to get breakfast, I bet you are hungry," Kelsey said. Morgan smiled.

"I am, but I don't want to break the dress. My mom got it for me for this occasion specifically," she responded. Kelsey laughed.

"Honey, in that dress you have room to spare! Hey, want me to do your hair into a braided bun? Or something similar?" Kelsey asked. Morgan smiled.

"How about the low side bun that I really like?" she suggested. Kelsey smiled.

"Of course!" she exclaimed, grabbing her brush.

As Morgan and her friends headed to breakfast, Morgan started to get a bit more nervous.

"Kelsey, I don't feel good," she said. Kelsey looked at her and smirked slightly.

"It's just nerves, besides, you look gorgeous! Come on, we need to eat quick, we leave in twenty minutes," Kelsey said. Morgan nodded, and she walked into the breakfast area. She instantly spotted Gavin sitting with Luke, Logan, and another boy that Morgan didn't recognize, from show crew. Morgan smiled, but didn't say anything. Kelsey noticed Logan point out Morgan to Gavin, who turned around. Kelsey noticed his eyes get big, and he almost dropped his jaw. Morgan didn't notice as she was talking to a trumpet player named Taylor. Kelsey smiled and looked at Gavin again, who looked to be having a hard time breathing. She grabbed a plate of food and sat at a table next to Marcus. Morgan sat next to her as well and she had a plate of food in front of her.

"Kelsey, I don't like all the eyes on me," she said, eating her food.

"Morgan, it's okay, you will be fine. Now eat up, we leave soon, and you need your strength," Kelsey said. They ate quickly and got onto the bus and drove to Eau Claire High.
