Ama POV
I woke up to my alarm waking me as usual. I hate alarms. I got up to get dressed brush my hair and teeth. I ran down to my parent's bedroom to see if they were feeling better than yesterday. "Mom? Dad? Are you feeling better?" My mom was half awake and half asleep. "Hmmm..." Was all I heard. I was guessing they didn't feel better.
I walked into the kitchen to get cereal, milk, and OJ ready for everyone else. I ate my cereal and ran upstairs to wake everyone else up. I was surprised they weren't awake. "JoJo...Jose...Josie...its time to wake up!" Josie rolled to her back, "You're not mom."Well, our roles changed!
"Get up. Mom and dad are still not feeling better. So I still have to take care of you." Josie rolled over and shooed me out so she could change. "Wake Judy up too." I said before she could close the door. (They both shared a bedroom)
I knocked on Dylan's door to wake him up, but I didn't hear anything. I cracked the door open and he was asleep without a shirt, sprawled across his bed. For a boy, he had a clean room. I walked over to the side of his bed and started tickling him. Right, when I started tickling him he started screaming and laughing. Both of us were laughing and he started tickling me back. "Aaahhhh! Dylan! Stop! Haha! We need to get up!" I said between laughs. He finally stopped tickling me and he got up. "Get out so I can change." Before I left I said, "Nice six-pack you got there." He pushed me out and shut the door.
Everyone got downstairs to eat while I gathered my homework up.
I ran downstairs and checked on my mom and dad before I left. "Are you guys okay?" They hummed and I shut the door. We got onto our bus and headed off for school.
~~~"Class, I expect you to have your homework done." My teacher said. We all handed in our homework and sat back down. My teacher said it was fine to talk to each other while she grades.
This is new!
I was about to head to Hayden's desk when a girl got there first. "Hey, Hayden. Do you want to hang out later today?" I guess he saw me from the corner of his eyes because he looked at me for help. I started walking over when he started signing, "Sorry, no. I'm busy later." "What did you say?" The girl asked. "He said, Sorry, no. I'm busy." I translated. He nodded. "Oh. Well that's ok. Maybe some other time." She started walking back to her seat when she winked at him.
The heck?
"Thanks." He signed to me. "No problem. Are you scared of girls or something?" "I guess you could say it that way." He signed.
"Alright, class. I have the projector working. Take your seats please. Thank you." The teacher started her lecture and i started writing my notes.
~~~
This time before I said anything, I looked over Hayden's shoulder to look at the picture he was drawing. It was a picture of a boy sitting on the edge of a lake and the water was different colors. It was fantastic.Dang...this kid's talented.
I walked back to make myself look like I just came over. "Hey." He looked at me and smiled a bit. He shut his journal and faced me. We started 'talking'. After a while, I realized he was asking me all the questions. "What do you like to do?" I asked out of the blue. He looked at me for a while. "I like to draw and listen to music." He signed. "Could you show me a picture? I haven't seen your drawings.
He sighed like he didn't want to show me. I thought he wasn't, but he actually started flipping through his journal to find a picture to show me!Ha! It worked!
He flipped to the page with the wolf howling at the moon. This time it looked more complete. It was more beautiful than it was before if it was possible. "Wow! That is so amazing! How are you so gifted?" He shrugged and closed his book.
*RING RING RING*
I headed to my next class when a girl stopped me. I recognized her, she was the girl who talked to Hayden. "Hey. Who are you?" She asked, "I should ask the same thing." "My name is Delilah. I don't know who the heck you are but stay away from Hayden. He's mine."Possessive little-
"Well, I am practically his translator. Without me, you wouldn't know what he's saying." "Girl, I could learn sign language! I am not stupid!" She retorted. "The real question is, will you have time to learn sign language when you put all of that makeup on?" I asked. I heard a few people laugh and murmur. "Uh. Well. Excuse me! You'd better watch your mouth little girl. Or you're going to get your butt kicked."
Before I could say anything the bell rang again signaling class was going to start, once again.That girl is crazy. She can't name someone her own especially when he doesn't want to speak to her.
Class started and I got out my notes once again.
I am so bored of taking notes...
~~~~~~
It was tumbling time and I was pumped! I when to the dashboard to see if anything was new.
This Friday. Cheer competition tryouts. $450 dollars for payments. (Uniforms, Ect.)
That's a lot of money. I don't remember it being that much last year.
~~~
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, hold, turn, duck down and..." On and on and on.
~~~~~
"Thanks for making dinner, mom. You didn't have too. You know I could have done it!" My mom made dinner when we came home. I didn't want her to overwork herself. She's still sick! "Well, you needed a break. You've been working hard taking care of your siblings."I can't believe this woman.
"Hey, mom. Cheer tryouts are this Friday! Can I do it this year?" I asked changing the subject. "Did you earn enough money this summer?"
During the summer we have bake sales and I sell DIY things to raise money for my cheer.I think I have enough money.
"I'll check." "Can I do cheer this year?" Josie asked. "Well, do you have enough money for cheer this year?" Josie groaned and rolled her eyes.
Poor little child...you'll get there.
I ran upstairs to see if I had enough money in my box. "$100, $126,$239...$342....$400.....$483....$548!" I also sold a lot of my clothes so that's probably why o have more than I thought.
I have enough money for cheer!
"Mom!" I ran down the stairs, "I have enough money!" My mom smiled, "That's great, Sweetie! I am very proud of you working hard this summer." I smiled.
I am going to cheer competition! I just loved competition! Just the vibe and the excitement! I loved it and I would never give it up for anything.
