Ama POV
I woke up with my head lying in Hayden's shoulder.
Woah. Wait. Hold up!
All of the memories of the night before flooded my mind. Hayden was still sleeping, and he looked like an angel. He was just so perfect. No wonder all the girls like him. His lip was looking better and the bruise on his neck was fading. His cut on his eyebrow was still healing. I think he may have a scar there.
But dang it will look attractive.
Geez, he has some long eyelashes. Then I wondered about the bruises on his arm. I moved at slowly as I could to pull up the sleeve.
Oh my gosh, this is going to work!
WRONG!
Hayden's eyes shot open and pulled his sleeve back over is arm. I didn't even pull his sleeve up that much!Light sleeper....
"What were you doing?" He asked and adjusted his sleeve. "I was checking your bruises." He was pretty annoyed with me so I shut up. He turned towards me and started looking at my cut lip. At first I did not know why he was looking on my lip.
Is he going to kiss me?
Wrong again. All he did was just make sure I wasn't cut anymore.
High hopes,sweetie...
"You should probably get back to your house." Hayden said. Starting to stand up and stretch. "No, it's fine. It's a Saturday. My mom is most likely watching the kids at the park. What about your dad? Won't he be wondering where you are?" "Probably not. He usually knows where I am."
We kind of sat there for a while very awkwardly. "Do you want something for breakfast?" I asked. I started to get up, "Where do you want to go for breakfast?" I asked. He started to get to and I started helping him. It was a reflex people. OK? I accidentally grabbed his wrist and he winced in pain. After I helped him up he jerked his arm away. "Those bruises must be bad. Do you want me to see them?" "No ." he said, adjusting the sleeve to his hoodie. "Let's go to Krispy Kreme's!" I said. I am going to Krispy Kreme's for breakfast in forever. "Sure let's go."
We start heading out to the cemetery when I wondered who the person was that he was visiting. "Hey, I left something back at the willow tree. I'll go get it. Wait here!" I ran off back to the willow tree. I got to the willow tree, and the gravestone underneath it. I bent down to look at the name.Margaret Anne Lawson King
Who is this? Is it his mother?
I didn't want to wait too long to make it look suspicious. I ran back to where Hayden was and he was standing there waiting. "Promise me one thing." He started. I nodded for him to continue, "Don't tell anyone I can talk. If we're out in public I'm going to use sign language. Okay?"
What? Why?
"Uh...okay?"
We started heading downtown to Krispy Kreme's! I was starving. I guess were up so late at night that's why I feel so hungry. We walked into the shop and the lady at the counter asked, "Welcome to Krispy Kreme! How may I help you?" Surprisingly there weren't that many people there. "Could I get a dozen glazed donuts?" I asked. Hayden waited at the window at a little table. His hoodie was up and his head was supported by his hand.
