Ama POV
We all stayed the night at the hospital and Sarah was still out like a light.
I heard Lucas cry every now and then, but he just cried himself to sleep.
I was about to fade out when I remembered...
Hayden is still outside.
I stood up and grabbed my phone.
"What's wrong?" Rachel asked, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"I forgot. We left Hayden outside!"
Rachel laughed a bit, "Well fetch him then."
I took the elevator down along with a few others. I ran out the entrance and there was Hayden still in his spot.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I forgot that you were out here! I swear!" I started.
He half smiled. "It's fine. How's Sarah?" He signed
"Brain tumor. They are going to do an operation tomorrow." I said quietly.
Hayden nodded.
"Are you cold? You should come inside." I started to pull him in but he resisted.
"I'm fine. I'll just go home. I'll be back tomorrow." He signed. He turned on his heel and left.
"You can't just leave!" I called out but he just kept on walking like he didn't hear me.
~
"He couldn't just leave!" Rachel threw her hands up in the air. It was around 2AM and Rachel and I were standing in the hallway at the vending machine."Well he did." I sighed.
"Ooohhhhh! YOU DO LIKE HIM!" She squealed alittle to loudly.
"Shut up!" I hissed at her. "You're going to wake the whole hospital!"
We grabbed out soft drinks and sneaked into Sarah's room.
She was still there, unconscious, needles and tubes all around her, and yet she looked so peaceful.
Lucas was on the couch curled up, fast asleep.
~
I found my self on a small chair and being shook by someone. "Ams? Ams, wake up. She's a wake." It was Lucas.
I sat up the best I could and there was Sarah eating her breakfast. I smiled in relief.
"Hi, Ama." Sarah smiled.
"Hey. Are you feeling better?" I stood up and walk to the side of her bed.
"A little. Could be better. My operation is soon though."
Everyone was quiet. We all prayed that the operation would go well. Who knows? It's could go well and could go really bad."This food isn't the best." She laughed
"I'll get you some food! I need to go out anyways." I said.
"You don't have to!" Sarah said
"Yeah! You don't have to." Lucas copied.
"I will. I'll be back!" I grabbed my wallet and slipped my flats on and rushed to the elevator.
I was the only one on the elevator and since I wasn't distracted: thoughts started coming to my mind.
What if the operation doesn't go well? What if she doesn't make it? What will happen?
Thoughts piled up on each other and tears started filling my eyes. The elevator door opened and I walked to the grocery store.
The automatic doors opened and I grabbed a small buggy. I pushed the buggy though the aisles and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going because I almost ran into someone .
