Gorilla
I looked across the empty yard, not seeing any trash anywhere. Good. Now I don't have to spend any time cleaning it up. I reentered the house and came face-to-face with a angry faced Lex and a tear-stained face Amanda. I looked back and forth between them. Amanda was avoiding eye contact while Lex was looking at me impatiently. "What's going on?" I kept my eyes looking at Lex.
"Why don't you tell me!" Her eyes widened with fury. What is she talking about? I looked back at Amanda, trying to look for answers. I fond none as she still refused to look at any of us. I shrugged my shoulders, unsure about what's going on right now. "What were you two talking about earlier? As soon as I asked Amanda she broke down, what did you say to her, Bruno?"
I opened and closed my mouth to reply, hesitating. I looked across to Amanda. Her eyes locked on mine the first time since I came here. She have a slight shake to the head, telling me not to say. "Just... Stuff"
"Stuff? What 'stuff'?" This was definitely not how I planned my night was going to go.
"Lex. It's nothing, ok? You don't need to worry about anything!" Alright. Maybe I shouldn't have said that. She looked away from me, shaking her head and biting her lip. "We were just..." I stopped myself, looking at Amanda, hoping that she would say something to help this situation. She didn't say anything.
"Nothing! She's crying! She doesn't just cry over 'nothing'" she took a step closer to me, her breathing noticeably deeper.
I reached out and grabbed her waist, pulling her into me. "Baby, come on let's..." Her hands forcefully pushed at me chest, making me stumble back a few feet. I looked at her, hurt. Hurt that the fact she won't let me hold her. "Lex..." I said quieter than a whisper.
"No! What ever you said must of really hurt her. And I don't appreciate it when people make her cry. Sisters before misters." She turned around and started to walk towards the door. I can't just let her walk away like this. She has to understand. I can see how much she really cared for Amanda but I don't really see why. It's her fault that this is happening!
I reached out and pulled her hand so she faced me again. I didn't let go incase she walked away again. Without warning, her hand came in contact with my face. I can't believe it. I let go of her hand, knowing that she's serious right now. I kept my head down, not wanting to see her walk away or let her see my almost on the edge of crying. I don't want to lose her. But what can I do?
I heard her feet walking towards the door, getting closer and closer every foot she placed in front of the next. "You want to know?" I spoke up, hearing silence fill the air as she stopped walking. I lifted my head up and looked at her. She faced me with a waiting expression on her face. "Do you want to tell her or should I?" I faced Amanda who's eyes were wide with shock.
"No, don't. Please." She took a step towards me, trying to touch my arm. I jerked back, not wanting to even look at her. I ignored her plead and looked at Lex again.
"Your so called 'friend' told me something the other day. She told me she had feeling for me. Ever since then, I've tried to avoid any contact with her what so ever. She came up today and questioned my love for you." She walked closer to me with every work until she was in reaching distance of both of us. "What kind of friend does that? That tries to pick any reason to break us up so that they can be with them themselves? Well. Not a good friend I know that for sure"
"Lex. Don't believe anything he says. He's lying!" She looked between us. Seeing who she believes.
She looked at me and stared for a while. "Bruno, look. I know we've been dating for a while and have each other longer. But I've known Amanda for a long, long time. She's always been loyal to me and I think..."
"No! No, don't. Don't do it. That's what happened I swear. Can't you see what she's trying to do! She's trying to break us up." She looked at me disapprovingly and sighed.
"What happened, Amanda? What's your side of the story?" She looked at her, waiting for her to start. I shook my head, telling her not to do it. Amanda looked at me then back to Lex.
"He... He said that he had feeling for me and..." Is she serious! I bit my lip in anger. That's so two faced of her.
"She's lying, Lex! Don't believe anything she says!" I interrupted, not wanting to hear anymore of the BS that was leaving her lips.
"And why should I believe anything you say?" She leaned onto one leg, her hand on her hip. I took in a deep breath and released it slowly. Sometimes I wish people really could read minds. That would really help a situation like this.
"Because I'm your boyfriend. I've been loyal to you too, haven't I?" She nodded her head slowly. She looked at the floor, as of she's deep in thought. Please believe me.
"Carry on, Amanda." I sighed and closed my eyes, annoyed. Why doesn't she just believe me! My eyes looked at Lex while Amanda spoke.
"He asked earlier, when we were outside, if I wanted him as much as he wanted me. I told him that he's with You and that he shouldn't cheat on you" I scoffed, making Lex look at me. She shushed me and motioned Amanda to carry on. "He then asked if I wanted to go inside and do something more fun. I told him that what he is doing is wrong and he threatened me not to tell you" she finished.
There was a few minutes of silence while Lex looked at the ground, trying to process it all in. "Please tell me that you don't believe any of that shit" her eyes slowly trailed up to me.
She slowly walked up to Amanda and stood in front of her. "You fucking bitch! You think that I didn't know that her are the reason every other boyfriend I ever had broke up with me just to be with you?" She believes me. Great. "You know what? As soon as I get back to the apartment, I'm packing my stuff, you're on your own"
"And where will you go? We're not fucking rich, Lex. We just manage to afford the rent." I could see how helpless Amanda looked.
"She'll stay with me. She doesn't need you to control her life." Amanda shot me a dirty look before looking back at Lex.
"You don't need him! Can't you see that he's tearing us apart? Sisters before misters, remember? He's an asshole who just wants you for what you have in between your legs! Maybe if you learned how to keep them shut, stuff like this wouldn't happen!" Lex shook her head, clearly not amused.
"I want you out of my life. And we're nothing like family anymore so don't say that. Bruno's the best thing that has ever happened to me you fucking bitch!" Her hand flew in the air and hit her square in the face. If there's anything I learned in the past, it's not to get involved with two girls fighting, it never ends well. "Get your ass up and get out" Amanda scurried to her feet and ran out the door crying for the numerous amount of times today.
Lex turned and stood in front of me. She lifted up her hand and I closed my eyes, ready for the slap. I didn't feel any shape pain only a gentle hand cress the side of my face. I opened my eyes and looked at Lex. "I'm sorry for slapping you" I lifted my hand and held hers against my face.
"I forgive you. Now. I'm serious about what I said earlier." She laughed and bit her lip. I smirked at her and collided her body with mine. "I wanna make love to you baby, that's if you let me?"
