I looked into the mirror and readjusted my tie for the 5th time in a few minutes. I sighed and I realised that I couldn't get it any straighter than it was. I decided to go for a simple formal/casual look by wearing black skinny jeans, button up shirt, black tux jacket and black shoes. And of course, my tie. I decided to not wear a hat tonight and just let my hair fly loose for tonight, I know she likes it that way. I pretty much styled myself up the way she liked.

As I finished fixing myself in the mirror I walked out of my room and down to the living room. Ryan was crashed on the couch with a bottle of beer in his hand and a bowl full of potato chips on the table next to my keys. "Hey man. What you watching?" I walked over to him.

He kept his eyes on the screen, just noticing my presence. "Oh I don't know. Maybe watching the game that you said you would watch with me, like we always do" I rubbed my hand over my face, completely forgetting.

I pulled my lips in between on teeth. "Oh shit! I totally forgot!" It's true. It's supposed to be an important game for them too, not like it never is.

Me and Ryan always watch the game together, we have since we first moved to LA. "yeah. Sure" he looked over to me. "What are you dressed up for? Is there a party I didn't get invited to?" He raised his eyebrow at me and took his eye of the screen when it went onto adverts.

I scratched the back of my neck feeling a bit awkward. "Umm... No. I'm going on a date." A smile crept onto his lips as if he was shocked or surprised.

He laughed a little. "Who with Amanda? My little mans got a date!" My face scrunched up by the sound of her name. Don't get me wrong she's a great girl, just not my type. "I know what you guys did. She told me"

My jaw dropped in shock. "She told you! Why would she... Anyway. No. It's not her." I was still confused to why she would tell someone that. I just hope it doesn't get out to the media. It could cause me to get in a lot of trouble if it gets out there.

He took another gulp of his beer and set it back onto the table. "Then who? Wait. It's not that Lexi girl is it? Dude. We told you to move on from her!"

I rolled my eyes. I don't see why they don't understand that they can't control my relationship or life. "Yes it is 'that Lexi girl' I'm picking her up at seven"

He looked at me in disbelief. "She's no good for you! How many times do we have to tell you that! How did you even become in contact with her. You don't have her number"

I walked over a picked up my keys. "I saw her last night. I gotta go or I'll be late"

He shook his head before looking back at the tv screen as the adverts finished. "Alright. Just remember that I'm the one who gets to say 'I told you so'"

I rolled my eyes and closed the door. I fiddled with the keys in my hand. I hope he isn't right. I unlocked the door and got in.

-------------------

I knocked on the door in a rhythm. I looked over myself one more time, straightening out my shirt and tie. As I heard the door unlock I smiled.

She opened the door with a smile. Damn. She looked great! I held out the dozen of roses I had bought for her. "These are you for. You look beautiful by the way" I saw he look down and blush. 1-0 to Bruno. She smelt the flowers. Every girl does that, right?

She looked back up to me with the flowers in her hand. "Thank you. I'll go put them in water. Come in." She opened the door wider for me so I could walk in.

She closed the door behind me and walked over to get a vase. "I made reservations for us at a nice restaurant" she found one and filled it up with water then placed the flowers in them.

I looked around. Not much has changed except that there was a table located in the middle on the room that made it look less empty. Last time I came here, I didn't really pay attention to what was around me. Only had my attention on her.

The walls were painted a cream colour with one wall painted brown. I looked over to her in the kitchen. She was arranging the flowers with a smile on her face. I hope tonight goes as well as planed.

As she placed the vase on the table she picked up her keys and walked over to me. "Where are we going?" She linked her arm with mine as we walked towards the car.

I leaned by her ear and whispered "it's a surprise" I heard her sigh. "I know. I know. You don't like surprises. But you will with this one." I saw her smile again.

--------------------

Tonight was a blast. Amazing. She didn't say for sure that she would be mine but I'm one step closer. I think she'll say yes anyway. Everything went perfect.

This time, I even got her number. She said she'll text me once she thinks about it. I walked through my bedroom door and fell onto my bed front laying down. It smelt like her. I groaned, already missing her.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I lifted it out and saw her name pop-up...
