**there is a Q&A at the end of this chapter**
*******************************

"Why...why would you do it?" I whispered with narrow eyes as I circled around Edward.

I stopped right in front of him, staring into his face. "You are a coward, Edward. You wear a mask to hide your identity but also because you don't have the guts to look your friends in the face as you take their lives away."

"He can't hear you." I heard a ghostly whisper, making me gasp.

I spun around to see a familiar women. Her hair was long and black, falling just below her shoulders. She had brown eyes and a small figure.

"Mom?" I whispered, slowly stepping towards her.

"You shouldn't be here, Hazel. I knew something bad would happen. I knew you'd remember him." Her voice was faint and airy, wavering slightly as it faded away at points.

"I-I don't understand. What is this? What's going on?"

"You're here to figure out what's going on...that's what you want. Right?" She asked in her smooth angelic voice.

Harry's face appeared behind my eyelids.

"Yes..." I murmured. "That's all I want."

She smiled at my knowingly. Her head tilted slightly as she pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. She leaned in close to me as she did so.

"I know, my darling." Her hushed words made my eyes flutter shut.

I spoke out in a soft whisper, "Was it really him, mom? Was it Edward?"

She slowly pulled away from me, sighing. "I can't tell you anything about the killer."

I shook my head in confusion. "Why not?"

Her face faded slightly. "I don't want you to wake up."

My eyes widened as her figure faded into nothing, carried off into the night sky by the wind.

Wake up

Wake up

Wake up

Wake up

I gasped, running back towards the beach. I don't know how I didn't realize I had walked out into the woods as I was talking to my mom.

Ghostly figures ran in front of me whilst screaming, making me gasp and choke on air.

A woman stopped in front of me, true horror flashed in her eyes. "It's you...why would you come here?!"

Another woman ran through me. "Why would she?!"

A tall man stopped a few inches away from me with tears in his eyes. "I never thought I'd have to look death in the face again."

Then...silence.

It was just me and the black sky. The dark green ground beneath me. The navy blue water of the ocean in front of me.

I was standing on the edge of the dock, my feet halfway off of it. I looked down at my reflection.

The whole world became silent. The only sound for miles and miles...was that of soft waves and the creaky dock.

A single tear rolled off my cheek and into the ocean beneath my feet. I leaned forward, too fast to even feel the ground leave my feet and the cool water hitting my face.

I fell.
