Hayes took me into his room that was filled with football posters. He had yellow walls and a bed right in the middle of his room. I sat on his bed and turned to face him so we could talk.

"So I've heard your from Pennsylvania, is it nice there?" He asked.

"Yeah it's beautiful. North Carolina is nothing like it. Don't get me wrong it's nice here, but it's not Pennsylvania." I said in a sad voice.

He sat down on the bed next to me and looked at my shirt. He could tell that I was homesick. Hayes looked at me with his beautiful blue eyes and said, "Although I know you miss Pennsylvania, you can make a new start her in North Carolina."

I nodded still trying to comprehend what he really said. I looked at him in his Davidson Day sweatshirt and then smiled. I took out my phone to check the time when Hayes decided to give me his number.

"So let me guess you play football." I said judging by his room.

"Yes I do. I'm a quarterback and I've been playing ever since I was little. I wanna grow up to be a professional player.", He said with a grin.

"That's a good goal to have. Lots of time and practice is also a good thing when training to be a professional athlete." I said trying not to be too nerdy.

He quick looked at me with a playful grin and turned to the door. His house was cold and I started to shiver. He looked at me and saw me shaking.

"Here take this.", He said while taking off his sweatshirt and handing it to me. He walked over to his dresser and took put on another sweatshirt.

"Thanks.", I said while putting on the sweatshirt. It smelled like Hayes and he smells really good. I started to warn up when all the kids were called downstairs to eat.
