Chapter 8

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing away. It was 11:30 and I was still tired. I checked my phone and it buzzed again.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Text:

Hayes- "Morning Ryan, last night was lots of fun! We should hangout today."

I smiled at the thought of Hayes thinking about me. I was still wearing his sweatshirt by the time I crawled out of bed. It still smelled like him. I looked down at my phone at started to text Hayes

Text:

To Hayes- "Totally! Come over in an hour or so."

My heart fluttered. My neighbor, Hayes Grier, is coming over today. I went downstairs and made myself an egg sandwich. Then I walked upstairs to brush my teeth and hair. I put on shorts and a cute hot pink Hollister tank top. Finally I put Hayes's sweatshirt on because it was so comfy.

Text:

Hayes- "I'll be over in five minutes. Should I bring over anything?"

To Hayes- "Bring your penny board, I need you to teach me new tricks."

It was 12:15 when Hayes came over. He looked at me and smiled. "What? it's comfy." I said directing about the sweatshirt.

"Hahaha don't worry, I think it's cute on you." He said with a dumb grin. "Oh yeah my board, its by the garage."

"What do you wanna do? We could go outback, skate, or just hang in here." I said. I was secretly hoping he would want to hang inside.

"I don't really care what we do." he said. I got all excited inside. Butterflies in my stomach fluttered. I brought Hayes up into my room where I put on Netflix.

We both sat on the floor up against the bed. Hayes was twirling his phone and I was looking at him. I was a bit confused on where we stood. Are we a thing or not? I wanted to test this so I laid my head on his shoulder.

Hayes didn't seem to mind me laying on him. Just having my head on his should had my heart racing. Soon we got bored of tv and we started wrestling.

Hayes pinned me down to the floor holding my arms up towards my head. I tried to get out from under him but I was stuck. He sat on my stomach laughing and looking down on me. Then he leaned forward starting to kiss me. His loosened his hold and moved his hand towards my face. we continued to kiss until we were interrupted by the smoke detector going off.
