Chapter 22

----Ryan's pov----

"No heartbeat, what do you mean?" I said very unevenly.

"I'm sorry but you've lost the baby." the technician said. "I'll leave you to alone."

If felt like a million knives went through my heart. I started to shake uncontrollably, and I looked over to Hayes. He had the blankest facial expression. He looked over to me and grabbed my hand and started to cry.

"So you really cared. You didn't even keno about the baby and your this upset?" I said in a hopeful tone

"Of course Ryan. You are my world. Yes I cheated, but I wanted to feel the way I felt with you. I missed you, but you don't realize that I'm a drunken idiot." he said pouring out his heart.

"Come here you idiot." I said pulling him closer to give me a hug. "I really hate you, but I love you more." I gave him a quick kiss."Can you help me back into the wheelchair tho?" He picked me up in a cradle and helped me into the chair. He wheeled me down the hallway and into my room.

----Hayes' pov----

We finally got into the room and the three were talking. Cameron had his arms wrapped around Marina and Nash was sitting on the hospital bed. They all turned when we entered.

"How's the baby?" Nash said with concern.

"It's gone. I may have only found about it today, but I feel like I've known it forever, and it hurts knowing I'll never really meet it." I said leaving a tear run down my face.

I looked down at Ryan who was staring at the floor. I rubbed her back and I could feel her crying. Cameron came over to me and gave me a hug. Nash and Marina soon joined.

"Ryan, are you okay?" Nash said. She looked up at him with watery eyes and shook her head no. Nash moved to Ryan and gave her a hug. I wanted to tell Nash to get off her, for some reason it made me angry seeing him hug Ryan.

"I'm so sorry." Cameron said.

"I wouldn't have been able to handle a child anyway. Plus going through the adoption process would be more painful." Ryan said. That shocked me. Ryan really wouldn't have kept the baby?

"So I can't leave the hospital until tomorrow so they can make sure no extreme damage was done. Nash can you pick me up from the hospital and bring Marina with you?" Ryan said.

"Sure is there anything I can bring you?" Nash said back.

"She'll probably want some Mountain Dew and some beef jerky." I quickly said before Ryan could answer. Everyone starred at me awkwardly. They could tell I was jealous of Nash helping Ryan.

"What Hayes said." Ryan spoke after the awkward silence.

----Ryan's pov----

I broke the awkward silence answering Nash's question. I could feel Hayes' jealousy and I didn't know what to do about it.

"Alright I need some rest, so I guess I will see you guys tomorrow? Or at least Marina and Nash." I said.

"Can we have a big 'Yay your okay party' at the hotel tomorrow?" Cameron asked.

"Sure why not?" I said. Cameron came over to me in the wheelchair and pushed me to my bed. He picked me up being cautious of my leg and put my on the bed. He gave me a hug and said goodbye. Marina came to the bed and gave me a hug too. "I'm gonna get us a hotel room by the guys so we can hang with them. Are you okay with that? I wanna be able to be on the same floor for Magcon next weekend." Marina said.

"Oh sure. Yeah is your mom okay with that?" I said back

"Yup. She's good and she's also happy your doing fine. Ohh your parents also said they love you and they hope you get better. Just check your phone." Marina said giving me a hug and leaving the room. Hayes came next to say goodbye.

"Our baby would've had the cutest eyes. Your dark blue eyes with mine...anyways I hope your gonna be okay. I love you." He said and gave me a kiss on my forehead. Lastly Nash came to say goodbye.

"Ryan I'm so sorry this had to happen. And can I be honest with you?"

"Yeah um sure."

"I would never treat you like that. I'm not sure where you and Hayes stand but I'm here for you if you need someone."

"Thanks Nash." I said. I felt safe with Nash. I didn't realize it until my lips met Nash's but I had feelings for him. We held the kiss for a few seconds then broke away.

"Uhhh, i'll pick you up tomorrow?"

"Yeah."

"Sweet dreams Ryan." Nash said leaving my room. I slowly drifted off into sleep.
