Chapter 12

I didn't get up until 12:30 the next morning. I checked my phone to see that it was blowing up with tweets and a few texts. The top text was from Hayes. I opened my phone and looked at the messages.

Hayes😘😘😘😍💕- "Ry, we gotta talk and ur not gonna like it"

I was scared to text back. I didn't know what to do it say. Slowly I tried to type the message

Me-"Uh okay...come over in 30 minutes okay?"

I sent the message while shaking. I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, and changed my outfit in a matter of 30 minutes. The doorbell rang and walked down the stairs to answer but Jake got there first.

"Ryan! Your boyfriend is here." Jake yelled from five feet away.

"Yo, I'm right here. No need to yell." I said in a sassy tone. I walked to the door to get to Hayes pushing Jake out of the way. I gave Hayes a hug and walked outside. The wind blew through my long brown hair as I pushed it back.

"So...what did you want to talk about." I said in a shaky tone. I didn't want to hear Hayes's answer but that's what I was there to do.

"This is hard for me to tell you. I wish this didn't have to happen. It just happened today all very sudden. I would change it all if I could Ry trust me when I say that." Hayes said trying to procrastinate what he really needed to say.

I could feel the tears starting to well up again. Was he going to break up with me? I held back the tears and waited for him to answer.

"I have to leave North Carolina."
