Chapter 8: A Horror Story

Gabe looked like he was really sorry for what he did. For a long time I wondered why in the world he would say something like that to me. To me, his friend from kindergarten who became friends with him again right away! He was one of the best friends I've ever had, besides Lindsey of course.

He was sorry though and that's what really mattered. He didn't mean to hurt me like that, he just got a little angry. Probably not at me. But if it wasn't at me, who was it at?!?

Anyways, back to the story. It was silent for a long time. A look of major sadness still on Gabe's face. "Daisy... I..." he paused. Probably thinking of something to say. I couldn't stand it anymore. I reached over the back of my seat and embraced him. I knew his anger couldn't be directed at me. Even if it was, which I refuse to believe, he'd still be one of my best friends.

But then, he did something that surprised me. He pushed me away from him. Hard enough for me to be forced to pull back my hands, but still gently which showed that even though he was angry he didn't want to hurt me. I soon realized he would never hurt me because he cares too much about me.

My face must have changed greatly in emotion because he said, "I didn't mean to hurt you or anything." Man, he knows me really well. "I... I... I just don't deserve to be around you... any more. I can't believe I just did that to you, and the worst part is... I don't even know why I did it." He got up out of his chair.

"Gabe!" I yelled, reaching out my hand toward him as everyone shushed me. Darn it, again I forgot about the movie!

He looked at me with sadness in his eyes. Then he walked away, or more like slowly jogged. He really didn't want to be around me anymore or anyone else even. He really was an amazing person, but sometimes he lost his confidence.

I turned quickly around in my seat and guess what happened... another JUMP SCARE!!!! I really hated this movie. The worst part was, since I wasn't paying any attention to the movie at all, I probably would have to watch it again. Lindsey would make me.

I looked over in Lindsey's direction and saw that she had left. Probably to get refreshments or use the bathroom. Michael was still there which made me not feel so alone. He had his hands in his pockets and was staring at the movie screen like he was trying to hypnotize it or something. That worried me a little.

I turned back to the screen and finally, there wasn't a jump scare. In this scene, a guy who looked about 9 was running from a big watermelon with a rope in his hands or something. I finally realized how stupid this movie is and now. I think I'm actually over this fear! Thats right, NO MORE NIGHTMARES!!! I think... Anyways, I turned back toward where Lindsey was sitting to see if she was still gone, and sure enough, she was. Michael must have left as well.

Then the weirdest thing happened. I felt someone tap my shoulder then I turned around and no one was there. Before I could turn back, someone taped me again, I turned back around and no one was there. I felt a something cold on my right side touch my shoulder and run down my back. I turned toward where it was coming from and the rest was just a blur.

Whoever it was put their other arm on my right shoulder, pushed my head back to the left and moved their other hand that was on my back down the side of my arm. It was really, really weird. Then, I felt a wet spot on my cheek. Ewww! I thought. I had had enough of this. I don't know why I didn't do anything about it right away, I must have just been too much in fear to do anything and it was too dark for me to see anything.

I tried to stand up, but was stopped by the arm that was still on my shoulder, pressing me down. I felt another pair of lips touch my neck and knew exactly, right away, what to do.

I pushed my arms out in the direction of where it was coming from and grabbed the person's body. With as much strength as I could gather I pushed the person to the floor and stood up, shaking. I was really scared. For the first time, I admit it. To be honest, no one has never not been scared before. No matter what they say, it's just a natural feeling we humans have that we can't avoid.

I walked over to the person and saw that it was a boy. He was face down on the floor, half on the chairs and half on the floor. He looked seriously injured. I would've cared if he hadn't just done what he did. I kicked him as hard as I could. Then, he turned over slowly, and I realized that it was none other then Michael. What was he doing harassing me?!?!? He was dating Lindsey. Betrayer!! I knew there was something about him hat I didn't like.

Someone yelled,"D girl!"

And another yelled," What did you do to him!! Why?!?!" I turned toward the voices. It was Lindsey and Gabe. I bet you can tell who said what.  They ran towards me, well Gabe did, but Lindsey ran right past me straight to Michael. I heard sobbing. "Michael are you okay!?!?" Lindsey said. Michael groaned in pain. I made Lindsey cry!! My best friend! I felt terrible.

And why was Gabe here? I thought he didn't want to talk to me in fear of hurting me again. Although, I was almost about to be hurt. I figured I'd ask him later. We had made a huge scene in the movie theater. Now really wasn't the time.

Gabe looked at me and said, "Are you okay? I saw everything but I think you handled it pretty good." I smiled, faintly, because of the situation.

"I'm fine, thanks. That really scared me." Then it all went dark, literally. The lights turned off, the movie stopped, and black smoke spread around the room. How peculiar.

Then, someone grabbed me and pushed me toward the direction of the door. I didn't resist, considering the situation. I wondered where Gabe was, hoping he was with the person as well. I looked over to the other side of the person and saw Gabe being pushed as well. I was really really afraid and also disturbed that I didn't even know the person who grabbed me. 

Once we got out of the seating area, I saw there was another person following us. A girl with blond hair that was about my age. I couldn't see much before I was pushed even further in front of the person who grabbed me and Gabe. I looked up and realized it was a lady in all black. It was the crazy lady! Well, that explains a lot.
By this time we had left the movie theater. I had no idea where the crazy lady was taking us, but at least I'd be with a friend.
