I still hadn't gotten used to the sensation of teleportation. It was unlike anything I'd ever done before. Traveling through open, swirling, and dark nothingness was just so mesmerizing. Also, I hate to admit it, but it was kind of terrifying.  I looked over at Gabe to see how he was handling this. Of course, he was handling just the same as I was. He looked nervous yet curious at the same time. He looked back at me and smiled nervously. He started mouthing words to me.

What do you think of all this?  He asked. I thought about this for a moment, trying to work out what he had said. I can't read lips that well, but me and Gabe knew each other so well that it wasn't that hard to figure out what he was saying.

I don't know what to think, I mouthed back. He smiled, laughed, and nodded as if to say he felt the same way. This only lasted a few seconds before a path of light appeared in front of us... and we stepped out.

We stood in front of the ice cream shop. It was part of a small outdoor mall with all different sorts of stores connected to it. Despite how small it was, there were quite a few people here. Many dressed in bright colors. It made me realize, suddenly, how unusual Susan looked in her all black getup. I made a mental note to ask her how she wasn't noticed and how no one noticed us when we arrived. Also to ask why she wore all black.

In the middle, about where we stood, there was a fountain with a turtle spitting out water in the center of it. I looked in the water, curious, and saw hundreds, if not thousands, of shiny coins.

I wondered if I should make a wish. I thought about it for a moment, but then realized I had no idea what to wish for. I was with my newly discovered family and my best friend. What more could I ask for? But then, I thought a little harder. There actually was something...

I pulled out my phone from my back pocket and was just about to take out some money from my case when someone tapped my shoulder. I jumped slightly, not expecting it. I turned to see that it was Gabe.

"Whatcha doing there D-girl? He asked.

"You just scared the life out of me!!" I exclaimed angrily.

"Oh no! Please don't say you're gonna pass out again. Are you?" Gabe asked jokingly, laughing after saying this.

"Oh...Shut up," I said. This made him laugh even more. I looked away from him and we were silent for a moment.

"Seriously though, I'm sorry if I scared you," he said thoughtfully. He really cared about me. I was glad I had a friend like him.

"It's fine really, you didn't scare me that much. I was kinda over exaggerating." He laughed again, but this time it was a shorter sort of chuckle.

"Good. So getting back to my question, what are you up to?"

"I was actually just about to make a wish," I replied. He rose his eyebrows in surprise.

"Doesn't sound like something you would do. Normally, you'd think something like this was too little kiddish." He knew me so well.

"I know, right? It kinda surprised me as well. I actually wasn't gonna wish for anything at first. I mean, I'm with my family and best friend. What more could I want?" He looked down and blushed as I said this.

"Am I really your best friend?" He asked.

"Of course," I responded. "We've known each other since we were little kids and, even though we were separated for a little while, we've grown even more close than we were before. You've been with me this whole time and helped me get through the shock of all these secrets being revealed. And you've also saved my life...multiple times." He blushed even more. I couldn't believe I was saying all this. Am I getting soft or something? Cause there are a lot of feelings going on right now.
